Xalia whimpered and placed her hand on her forehead as she headed to the kitchen, she realised that the wound was from when she hit her head on the dashboard in the car. She found the first aid kit and walked back to the living room, she sniffed as she sat on the couch and breathed out.She was so annoyed, pained and frustrated, she felt like crying her eyes out but that would only make the pain worse. She suddenly heard footsteps and she turned to see Draven walking down the stairs. He walked to her and sat next to her. She breathed heavily as she stared at him with tears streaming down her eyes.“Stop crying.” He muttered as he opened up the first aid kit, Xalia sniffed and wiped her tears with the back of her hand like a baby. Draven kept glancing at her as he prepared the materials he needed for treating her wound, She finally stopped crying but she kept sniffing. He moved closer to her and he raised the wool in his hand.“It is going to sting a little.” He muttered and placed

“Is she okay?” Henry asked Draven as he drank his brown soup and stared at Xalia who was lying peacefully on the couch. She was in a deep sleep and didn't look like she was waking up anytime soon. “I don't know.” Draven replied as he went through his phone.“You shouldn't have knocked her out.” Henry shrugged and Draven rolled his eyes.“She was being annoying and she kept on distracting me.” “Then you could have knocked her out in a safer way.” Henry said and Draven scoffed.“Right, by hitting her right?” “She has been unconscious since last night and it is almost noon.” “I saved your life, quit whining.” Draven replied and Henry chuckled, he gulped down his soup and groaned as he slowly stood up from the couch and headed into the dining room.Xalia moaned in her sleep and she slowly opened her eyes, she felt a sharp pain in her neck and she groaned, as she sat up, her eyes met with Draven’s who was staring directly at her. She looked around and froze when she saw Henry walking o

She felt her cheeks heat up and she played with her fingers nervously. She felt so uncomfortable because of the maids standing around the table, although they weren't staring at them but that didn't make it any better. “What do you want?” He asked using his thumb to crease her waist and Xalia looked up at the table. There were different types of meals there and she wanted all but Draven being this way was really making her uncomfortable.“Anything is fine.” He replied and he waved his hand to a maid, She walked to him and bowed.“Pour her a glass of milk.” He ordered and she did, the maid slowly handed the glass to Xalia and she took it, she gulped the milk slowly and Draven watched her as she did, he picked up a toast and took a bite out of it, as she dropped the glass, Draven fed her with the toast and she took a bite out of it.“Stay calm.” Draven whispered in her ear as he saw her battling with her fingers.Till the end of breakfast, Draven fed her and made sure she was filled be

She slowly turned to Draven who was looking upset.“I’m sorry.” She apologised.“You have the guts to defy me now?” “No, I was just so mad, that is my dad’s assistant and I didn't expect to see him here.” She replied without looking directly at him.“You didn't have to become a nuisance, I was having a meeting.” “I was shocked, okay? Anyone in my shoes would do the same thing.”“No, anyone in your shoes would be smart enough to walk away.” He said and Xalia rolled her eyes.“Well, maybe I am not smart, okay? I have been quiet all these while trying to take it all in and it is fucking making me go crazy! I got abandoned by my fiance on my wedding day and in a flash, I found out some dude was waiting for me at the altar and my fiancee was getting married to my step-sister who was already carrying his child! Then this minute my mother was on my side, the next she was not, I got married to a stranger and I found out my father sold me to him, no surprise there but it is all messed up!”

“That is a fucking lie!” She screamed!“Is he right?” Kyle asked and Malia glared at Draven before turning to Kyle.“No baby, that is a lie. You trust me right?” She asked giving him a look and Kyle nodded, Xalia rolled her eyes and scoffed at how gullible Kyle was to her.“Just so you know, your wife was once a whore.” Malia said to Draven and Xalia froze. Why does Malia have to bring that up now? She is not wrong though but she has tried to bury the memories of it.“Don't talk to her like that.” Allison snapped at Malia and she rolled her eyes.“Well, at least she is married to someone better than the fool you call a husband.” Draven responded.“You don't get to talk to my daughter like that.” Malia’s mother said and Draven turned to Mr. McCall.“Why can't I? McCall, talk to your family or this won't end well.” Draven warned and he sighed. He gave his wife a look and she fumed, Malia became quiet and they all continued having dinner, Henry didn't say anything about the argument, al
