Lyra hastily took a cab to her workplace to avoid queries from anyone in the Monroe's mansion. She doesn't know if she could tell the Chairman about what she overheard or not.Her racing heart became normal when she got to the public hospital she worked for. Lyra stepped out of her limo and took in a deep breath. The glittering light of the city spread out before her. She adjusted her evening gown, fixing a smile on her face. As she approached the penthouse, she could hear the sound of laughter and music drifting through the air. The door was thrown wide open, it looked like a club to Lyra. It was a get-together party that took place in one of Monroe's penthouses.As she got into the penthouse, her senses were attacked by the bass music vibrating in her body and the lights were flashing in time to the beat.The air was filled with alcohol and perfume. Her palms were starting to sweat but then she took a deep breath, deciding to make her way through the crowded party. She looked around for Harrison and it was in vain.Lyra grabbed her phone from her purse to call Harrison. In the conference room, there were elderly men seated having a discussion.
