ZIYAH I spent last night trying to reassure my mates that today would be okay. That was easier said than done, but they knew that it was necessary. Only I could do this, and I would do anything to protect my family. That was what I was doing for Elle today. The navy pantsuit that I was wearing today was reinforced so that it would not tear easily as well as having a layer that was spell resistant since I had no idea what I was walking into. Caiathus, Kade, and Dante came into the Council today. Elle was on standby at the pack since she could not be here today. We had no idea where the trap was or how closely they were watching us. Fuck. We did not even know who it was that would be involved. There were far too many unknowns on the board. Luckily, I knew Elle’s schedule and mannerisms down to every last detail. The day dragged on in some parts simply because it was a day filled with paperwork. Elle was always happy to take on paperwork so that I could focus on creating safety measur

ELLE I was flipping through the photos that showed the position that we found Ziyah in when we got there yesterday. Our gear had been equipped with recording devices just like normal, so it was easy to get stills that showed the damage that Alpha Cameron had inflicted upon her. It killed me to see everything that she had to suffer while protecting me. I had seen my brother drop to his knees as his body shook from whatever he felt through the bond. It was only an echo of what she was feeling, and it had that big of an impact on him. That just went to show that what she suffered was far worse than that. Not only had she been shot up with electricity but also had whip markings imbedded in her skin. It had surprised me that the asshole Alpha had a connection to Andrew. Sure, years had passed since I was rescued from his clutches, but the memories still remained. Someone closed the folder, hiding the photos from view. My eyes collided with my sexy mate. He placed a coffee in front of m

ELLE Ten Years Later – Tonight was an incredibly important event. History in the making, and I was proud to be a part of it. Kellis entered our lives ten years ago. It was an adjustment for her because she went from being a woman hiding in the shadows, someone who flew underneath the radar in order to remain hidden from her father to an integral part of our circle. Selene chose her for Aldan and he for her. Together, they not only propelled their pack to an amazing level of prosperity but also helped to change the entire face of our Council rescue missions. She took it upon herself to design an all-inclusive survivor program. It took them from the point of being rescued through the process of establishing oneself – ensuring that they had everything they could need to become self-sufficient. The Safe Haven Foundation began as a pet project and exploded into something that was so much more. It took a few years to establish but instantly became our number one program. The banquet to

ZIYAH 721 years following Epilogue 2 – I was submerged in darkness, unable to remember what happened. There was something just out of reach in my mind. It was really fucking frustrating too. Time ticked by. It could have been minutes, hours, or years. There was no telling which it actually was. C’mon, think! I swear to all… “How long do you think it will take for her to open her eyes?” a familiar voice stage-whispered. “How about we ask her,” another voice said, clearly amused. “Little Goddess, how long until you open your eyes?” I slowly peeked one eye open to see Danthali bending over to look at me. His eyes crinkled as a smirk tugged at his lips. He looked very pleased with something. Knowing them, they were probably wagering on something. “That was precisely what we were doing. You really do know us so well,” he grinned and moved backwards, holding his hand out towards Ylonte. “Pleasure doing business with you,” he told him. Ylonte just rolled his eyes, plopped some coins

DANTE Byron did link me in the office about what happened when our girl came. It was all the more incentive to get this fucking show on the fucking road so that I could experience it too. That was great motivation if you asked me. “Here we go…” Ziyah said, picking up a syringe. The first syringe contained the synthesized compound. Kersee was wearing a tank top to give us easy access to the well that held her light. Luckily, there was a bite guard in her mouth because it did not sound as though it felt like rainbows and motherfucking sunshine. The guard also prevented her from spitting, which was something she had a habit of doing when she was unable to do much else. Ziyah set the empty syringe down rubbed her hands together a couple of times. She, I, and Byron would be working in tandem. She would be using her magic hands as she pushed healing throughout Kersee’s body, which would also spread the compound. I would be removing her fears while Byron filled her up with all those fun f
