ArianaAfter Diana was in conversation Damien the previous day, they laughed so much. I was so happy that they had reconciled. I hated that i had to be in the middle of a squabble. Their contention was tiring me out and every time i thought about it it drained me. I was not a piece of hand me down clothes that you have to fight over.m or to get my attention. It became embarrassing. It was clear that he was in a good mood. It showed that he had a good moment with his brother. That was what I loved to believe. But after he had noticed that Darius had called me, I didn't know what to think any more. "What's bothering you?" Diana saw me lost in thought."Darius called.""Great, what does he want?" "He just wanted to check on me. He also offered to help me out with my assignments in school tomorrow.""Okay, go on…" Diana became impatient."I heard Damien in the background asking who he was talking to. You know how he gets and i fear they might actually be arguing over something senseles

Ariana POV"What are you doing?!" I yelled. "Put me down!" My struggles were futile."Ssh. It is late, you will wake the others living here." He said seriously. I was hanging upside down on his shoulders. The light that filled my eyes, suddenly dimmed into the blue darkness. "Put me down, please." "As you wish my lady." He said dropping me heavily on the bed. "Ouch!" I held my head. His bed was indeed a little bit strong. "That was not nice." My voice was muffled as the pain relieved himself a little bit more. "I was only obeying your wishes." He shrugged. "Just as I did before when you wanted to sleep in a separate room. That was not nice."Damien climbed the bed, his eyes were bare without his glasses. He had a predatory gaze, which made me scared at first. He started crawling from my feet to meet me at the crown of his bed. My heart started racing. "What are you doing?" Swallowing down my saliva. "You wanted to know If someone was sharing my bed tonight. Now, you've seen th

Ariana POVI have never thought of being his Luna. I knew he was an alpha son and there was a lot of controversy surrounding his person. I was more focused on building a strong relationship with himI haven't really bothered about trying to tike by his side, not with what he still doesn't know yet. It was a lot of heaviness to be carrying all of that with me when he was busy planning our lives together."Ariana?""Yes, you were saying.""You seemed so lost in thought…" yeah i was, thinking of what it means for me to rule by your side when i do not even have a wolf."Yeah, I was thinking of what you said." I started. "Don't you think that it is too soon to be thinking about that?" He twitched his eyes a bit before he exhaled. Facing ahead, he notified me. "No, it is not too soon. You are my mate." I sighed internally, waiting for him to continue "An Alpha is not meant to rule a clan alone. He is supposed to do that with his mate or whoever he has chosen to get married to or live or c

Damien POV"That was all she said." I tried to convince Darius about what I heard. "That's a bit strange. Maybe she just said that in her sleep." He started. "You know how well people talk in their sleep." I shook my head, pouring more Irish wine into the glass. I was facing the window in my study. I have always loved the view from here, it was something I have admired over the years. Making this place my most favourite spot in the mansion. When we were picking rooms, after we first arrived here, i was the first to have chosen this room as my getaway place. Where I came to read, work and everything in between. I remembered that it was a long time since I had a run through the woods. I haven't taken any time off. Then I had a reason to, but now I do not. If I wanted to plan such a trip, I wanted to go with Ariana. Maybe the memories that were attached to my getaways have always been scary and too much for me. "I don't think so. I think she must be a gifted wolf." I continued. "Eit

Ariana POV I smelled the blood first before I felt the warmth it brought to my arms. I didn't realise I was injured. It was the pain that drew my senses to it.I saw the claw marks tear my skin in four gruesome marks, filled with blood. The pain was unbearable. I have never seen him like that before, no matter how hard I tried to picture the monstrous act of his, I still was confused. My mind couldn't contain as I was reliving that tiny moment with him over and over. That moment was what I left out when I told Diana. I didn't want to stress their already strained friendship. It was like he was controlling himself not to snap in front of me. It made me think if I did anything to him, I just wanted to see how he was doing. I just wanted to make sure that he was fine, I didn't expect this snap from him that has caused an injury I might never recover from. It hurts too much, and I was still on the floor still trying to make sense of what just happened. The moment kept replaying itself
