VIKTOR.“So, what is our next point of action?” Sven asks, a glass of whisky in his hand.“We need to contact the other packs, try to demolish whatever movement Dominic has begun,” Maxwell says. “Viktor, you are known to have joined the dead alphas in their ambush, you can tell them what actually happened. And while at it, we will show our support for the coalition.”“Will it be enough?” I ask.“We have our own reputations, thankfully, respected and revered. Some of the packs will join us on account of our words, some might not. Some would want to stay on the fence. But for now, it will be enough to put a stalemate to whatever crap he is pulling.”“He is not going to like that?” Fin mutters.“Who cares?” I retort.“No one, of course, but let’s think. These past weeks he has been gathering a following and now we just come and scatter it all. He is going to be pissed, probably accuse us of undermining him.”“We are undermining him,” Sven mutters.“Yeah, you- you know what I mean!”“We d

VIKTOR“So, how did it go?” Andre asks the moment I get out of the car.I am beyond exhausted. What I thought would take only an hour, a couple tops, took the whole bloody day.I can’t blame them though.I am asking there to put away their preconceived notions and support a bunch of wolves.“It was exhausting,” I mutter as I get in. “They wanted to know everything. Everything about the coalition.”“Did you tell them?”“Of course, not,” I mutter as I head in to the mansion. “One of them might get into their head and try to use that information against them. I just told them the bare basics. The rogues want nothing from the packs expect to be left in peace. And as long as that happens, they have nothing to fear.”“Did they believe you?”“Most of them did. Just two has reservations but they will go along with the others so as not to be the odd ones out.”“That is good. Good,” he murmurs as we walk into my bedroom and take a seat on the bed.“What about you?” I ask as I begin undressing.

ROWANBy the time six comes around, I am already awake and dressed.I had taken extra care in selecting my clothes, and even Rina helped.I really do want to make a good impression on his pack, because if things go the way we want, or at least the way I think it is going, I will become the Luna of his pack.As I turn towards the door, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I see a wide eyed, a little anxious but confident woman string back.My hair is neatly styled in a sleek, low bun, with a few loose strands framing my face which goes well with the elegant but understated outfit I have chosen to wear for the dinner.I am dressed in a tailored green blouse that goes well with my eyes and which also has a delicate lace detailing along the neckline and cuffs. The fabric is crisp and smooth, gracefully draping over my shoulders and matched with a pair of dark gray tailored trousers that fit me perfectly and just end above my shoes.Speaking of shoes, I decided to go for a pair of hi

VIKTOR“That wasn't so bad,” Rowan says as I walk her towards her room.Jhenelle had fallen asleep across my lap, halfway through dinner, and is now safely snuggled in my arms as we walk.“Told you there wasn't any reason to be worried,” I tell her.“It is a way for you to say, but for someone with my history with packs, my anxiety was warranted,” she retorts as she opens the room set aside for Jhenelle.“Hmm, I suppose,” I mutter as I walk in.The room is decked with vibrant colors and fairy tale posters, just perfect for a five year old girl like Jhenelle. The walls are a soft, fluffy pink, like cotton candy that matches with a ceiling that is painted with big, white fluffy clouds so that it would like she is sleeping under the sky.The bed is a cozy little nest, with a soft, pink blanket and lots of cuddly stuffed animals snuggled up with a tiny, sparkly tiara at the head of the bed.The furniture is all white and shiny, with golden handles that twinkle and a dresser that has a big

ROWAN.He isn't here.Right now, I am standing close to the entrance of the living room, watching as all the alphas mingle with each other. With one notable figure missingDominic.“What is he playing at?” I mutter.“Probably his way of disrespecting Viktor,” a familiar voice responds I look over and see Rina walking towards me.“Disrespect? If that is his plan, to not show up just to spite Viktor, then he just created a mess for himself. But I doubt it.”“Hmm? Why?”“Dominic wants this war,” I tell her. “For as long as I have known him, he has always been obsessed about glory. About putting Viktor in his supposed place. This council is meant to disrupt that plan, why would he not show up? He will have to if he wants to move forward with it.”“So, what isn't he here?” She asks as she leans against the wall.“I don't know. And Franky, I don't like it.”“Are you that eager to see him again?”“Don't be ridiculous,” I scoff at her. “I may not see him for the rest of my life and it still
