How much harm can the people who are supposed to protect you do to you? Those for whom you stepped on this world without even asking for it, but you have to thank them for having made the "sacrifice" of simply putting you here and even also for giving you education, roof, health, among other things.Do parents suck? Yes, maybe, but most of the kids who say that only know how to argue the fact that mom or dad forbids them to drive if they drink, and if they drink, to get good grades, not to do drugs, to keep their room tidy, and those things that are normal. Do you want to see what a shitty parent is? Come and meet mine. Hi, I'm Lucia. I'm Lina's youngest daughter, a woman who is neither good as a mother nor as a daughter. My father? He simply disappeared one day like the mist disappears before the first rays of the sun, but from what I understood, he was an irresponsible man who only lived lying on the couch, waiting for the money to fall from the sky. Despite this, my dear mommy of

“That's right. ¿Do you take the job?”I was happy; I couldn't deny it, I could finally work, and I wouldn't have to listen to Lina's same old chatter about it anymore. I arrived home, and the moment I announced that I got the job, I was only congratulated by my nani and the chaparrita.“Aren't you going to congratulate me?” I asked Lina, “I thought you were going to be happy.”“I don't see why I should congratulate you for something that is simply your responsibility; now stop making such a fuss about a simple nursing job and let me see the social networks.”“By the way, Lina,” spoke Carlos, “I need some things for college; give me some money.”“Lucía,” spoke Lina, “give money to your brother.”“¡¿What?! Are you fucking kidding me, what are you saying? I just got a job today; I don't have money to give Carlos; besides, that's not my responsibility.”“I don't have any money either; tomorrow you can ask for an advance and give Carlitos the money he needs for his college.”I got so upset

I ended up being hired temporarily to take care of two girls, and I tried my best. My boss was happy with my performance, but since not everything lasts forever, I was fired because the lady's husband lost his job.“¿Were you fired again?” I've had enough of you; can't you keep a job for a year?”“Understand that it wasn't my fault. I'll call the places where I left my résumé to see if they still need staff.”“For your sake, I hope so, because I can't support you anymore.”“Don't worry, I won't give you any more trouble,” I replied, annoyed. You're supposed to be my mom, but you seem worse than an enemy. The relationship between us got worse. Lina insisted on annoying me, and since she started using social networks, she was barely present at home except when she went to work.I called everywhere I applied, but they told me they had already hired someone. To add to my misfortune, the situation at home was becoming increasingly untenable. Carlos only saw me as a checkbook and believed i

When Lina came to me and looked at me with a tear rolling down my cheek, her eyes rolled back in frustration."What happened? Go inside, if you don't want to be next to my nani I will go.""My mom is going to be transferred to intensive care, they are already going to do it. I really didn't want to stay here, but I have no other choice, since you don't have the authority to make decisions, nor are you good at it."I didn't want to say anything to her because it wasn't the time or place to discuss. After a few minutes, they took her out to take her to that place, she was with her eyes closed and I was moving my eyelashes so as not to cry.The rules forbid us to be there, so we stayed in the hallway with other people who had their relatives in the same place as my nani. I went to buy some things they asked us to buy and once I had them I gave them to the nurse. I had to go home because I had not bathed because of all the movement that had happened so early. When I arrived I told the lit

“Carlos, I need you to come back,” I told him, omitting the truth because he was on the road, already working, and just today he went to his job. If I told him this, another tragedy would probably happen. “Please, it's urgent."“Lina already told me what happened. I'm on my way, so stop bothering me.”I hung up as it was neither the time nor the place to argue with Carlos. After a few minutes, they called me to come in to see my nani. I followed all the protocols they demanded and went to see her. I wanted to cry; maybe the pain would lessen, but honestly, no matter how many tears I had shed, I didn't feel any better.“Nani, don't do this to me. You are not dead; you are just asleep. Come on, open your eyes,” I tried to help her, but there was no answer from her, and I could only see that the brightness she had before was gone. “Lady bandit, come on, wake up. Don't do this to me, please. What am I going to do without you? Are you going to leave me alone in such a big house? I'm going
