Zyrielle's POV. “Ignore her ma’am, she had loved Mr. Duncan since the day she walked in here, I’m sure she didn’t expect him to randomly come home with a wife”. “Please follow me." Meg added, and I nodded. "Your room is that way." "No, she will stay in my room." Rain countered, and I looked at him in surprise. “You can leave us, Amber, I’ll take over from here." He ordered, and she walked away and because of how big the house was, it looked as though they had disappeared, leaving me worried about being alone in this large house. "I'm sure you'd like it, Poccolina." He winked at me, but I shot him a tense smile. "Smile; you're going to love living here, darling." He reassured me. Yeah but for how long? I glanced behind him to glimpse Freya peeping through a room. Why was she peeping at me? I didn't want to engage in any love triangle, so it would have been better if I had just gone away. Rain's cool fingers touched my chin, and I felt a spark run through my bo

Zyrielle's POV.Only a few things managed to catch my attention, but as things stood right now. I think one of the greatest ways to determine one should never say never. I walked slowly, trying to stretch my legs not trying to kill myself. "What is that place?" I asked her when we passed a room that was shut with a small tape in front of it. This wasn't an I'm saying where they would tell civilians to keep away from. Freya only nodded, staring at me, but I think she had other things running through her mind because that couldn't be just an ordinary stare. "Is there anything else you want to show me?" I asked her to be sure that she wasn't leading me to my death. Well, that was an exaggeration though. She turned towards me and shook her head. "This is just the room where Mr Rain stores all his paintings." She explained and I was a bit curious to see the paintings he had stored away inside his room. Was he a painter? I wondered. He didn't look like one but who was I to determine wha

Rain's POV. I alighted from the car and watched Melissa Bourne staring at me. I ignored her total existence. She was here for a fight but this wasn't the right time. I made a mental note to order the security personnel not to allow her anywhere near my property. "You know damn well why I'm here." She called while I kept on walking into the company building. Dixon was going to arrive any moment from...I heard a horn and I turned. A strange car was driving into the compound. I knew that it was Dixon. I stared at Mel who didn't utter a word. Dixon's car pulled right in front of the entrance, before he alighted. "Mr. Rain, it's good to see you after a long time." He mentioned and I raised a brow but shot him a polite smile. We didn't run in the same circles. "Good evening to you too, Mr. Dixon." I answered politely before nodding at him. "May we go in?" I inquired. He nodded before following me into the lobby which was still bright as though it was still early. "You have such a l

Zyrielle's POV. "Hey, how are you doing, darling?" He inquired from me and I shook my head, staring at him. "You look spooked." "Yeah, I'm spooked because I don't understand what's happening at all. Why did she come here?" I asked him. He looked at me with a small smile on his face. "I don't want to delve into that." He replied and I shook my head at him. "Do you want me to do anything for you?" "No, I don't." "You don't want me to do anything... I forgot to get you what I promised." He apologized and I shook my head softly. "You don't think I mean it?" "I don't know what to think, I mean, I appreciate the fact that you're thoughtful. I don't think you should worry about me." I muttered, really not caring about a thing. "It's fine, I don't really want to eat anything." He glanced at me and headed toward me softly, "That means Amber hasn't given you anything. You need to eat." I was greatly offended by his observation. Why the hell was he saying that I looked like I ne

Zyrielle's POV. My eyes narrowed at his statement, trying to read between the lines yet failing woefully. "Teach Lucas a lesson? Why?" I replied skeptically. He sighed, leaning slightly forward to touch me but I recoiled at his near touch. "My bad, I was only trying to adjust the pillow, you looked uncomfortable." He pointed out which I didn't feel was too bad. I appreciated the fact that he wanted to help me out, at least. However, I was still a bit reticent about him. "Okay, so..." "So, my nephew has done a lot of things that he needs to be punished for. One of which is hurting you." He answered with a hint of anger and determination in his tone. This wasn't just because of me, it was some deep-seated anger that he was trying to contain."And we return to square one," I muttered."You still haven't told me what I want to hear," I answered him as I pondered on what Lucas could have done to cause his uncle to hate him so much. "Yeah, I was coming to that... Let's just say that hi
