Chapter 131

Sasha's POVSitting next to me, Valentino looked a bit nervous. We usually drive ourselves or have a driver who doesn’t drive this fast. But I seemed to have no fear and drove like a madwoman. I was overtaking the cars in front of me in no time.Soon, I was in second place.Valentino was surprised. He didn’t expect me to be such a skilled driver. I might look soft and weak, but I was fearless behind the wheel.Eventually, I caught up to the first car.The driver of the other car shouted through the open window, “Want to race?”“Yes!” I called back with a smile. “I’m going to beat you! Is the prize mine?”“Of course,” the driver replied with a grin. “But you have to win first. If I lose, there’ll be no prize.”“Alright, let’s go!” I said, laughing.I made a sharp turn, the car nearly floating as I quickly caught up with the leader. With the finish line ahead, I pushed the car to its limits. Before long, I passed the car in front of me, finishing just ahead.I stopped the car and jumped

Chapter 132

Sasha's POV “What are you laughing at?” Valentino frowned.“No, it just looks like you’re out of place here,” I said with a smile. I think I look pretty good when I smile, with my eyes curving up and my thick eyelashes. It probably makes me look cute. There are two dimples that make my smile really sweet. It’s different from Sandra.Sandra’s smile isn’t as simple as mine.I noticed Valentino was comparing me to Sandra, and it seemed ridiculous to me. After all, we’re two different people.Shaking off those thoughts, Valentino looked around. Everyone here seemed so happy. Even though they were all students, they looked way more carefree and joyful than he seemed to be.Even though the place wasn’t the cleanest, seeing the happy students around made the mood feel relaxed.I had ordered a lot of food, and soon it all arrived—spicy hot chicken barbecue, and various snacks. The table was piled with food.Valentino looked at all the food and said, “Why did you order so much? I can’t eat th

Chapter 133

Sasha's POVMy heart was racing as I rushed to Valentino, gently patting his cheek. “Valentino, what’s wrong? You can’t just die on me!”I quickly checked for his breath and felt a wave of relief and tears when I realized he was still breathing.“You’re still alive?” I said, feeling frantic as I searched for my phone.“Idiot, I’m not dead,” Valentino said weakly. He sounded both annoyed and amused. He was young; he shouldn’t just drop dead like this.“You’re awake?” I asked, panicking even more. “What’s happening to you?”His forehead was covered in cold sweat, and his face was twisted in pain. He looked really miserable.“My stomach hurts,” Valentino said.“Your stomach?” I asked, feeling a pang of guilt. “Could it be because of the food we had?”“I don’t know,” he said, shaking his head in pain. He looked so bad he could barely speak.“Should I call 911?” I asked, feeling increasingly distressed seeing him like this.“Just call Dr. Rob,” Valentino said.Seeing his painful condition,

Chapter 134

Valentino's POVI was feeling comfortable and almost falling asleep when I suddenly got up because of Sasha. I narrowed my eyes in annoyance.“Don’t go,” I blurted out.“I just need to open the door for Dr. Rob. I’ll be right back,” Sasha said, trying to comfort me like I was a child. “I’ll be up soon, don’t worry.”She quickly went downstairs to open the door.Dr. Rob was at the door, dressed in a windbreaker and carrying a medicine box. When he saw Sasha, he greeted her with a smile. “Sasha—no, Mrs. Rex. It’s nice to see you again!”Sasha smiled back. “Dr. Rob, please come in. He’s upstairs in the room, in a lot of pain. He can’t get up.”“Don’t worry. He’s stubborn, but he won’t die from this,” Dr. Rob said, half-joking.Even though he said that, he hurried upstairs. He didn’t want his good friend and his employer to suffer. In the room, I was lying on the bed, looking at Dr. Rob with a cold stare. I wasn’t happy to see him because his arrival interrupted the comfort I was finally

Chapter 135

Sasha's POV“I’m sorry. I didn’t realize your stomach was so sensitive. I didn’t mean for you to suffer like this,” I said, looking at Valentino, who had always been so strong, now lying in bed looking pitiful.“Yes, it’s because you made me eat those things that I’m feeling this way,” Valentino said with a sad face.I felt a lump in my throat. Hearing him complain like that made me feel even worse.“I’ll take care of you until you’re better,” I said. “Don’t worry. I’ll keep massaging you to help you feel better. Dr. Rob said it’s not too serious and you’ll get better soon.”“You should listen to him. I’m really in pain, even though I don’t want to complain,” Valentino said.“Still in pain?” I asked, feeling concerned. I started rubbing his stomach. My hands gently massaged his stomach, and Valentino closed his eyes, looking relaxed, almost like a sleepy cat enjoying the moment.“Is it better?” I asked.“Much better,” he said.“If you’re comfortable, I’ll keep rubbing,” I said.I was

Chapter 136

Sasha’s POVThe next day, I suddenly woke up.As soon as I looked up, I noticed that Valentino's bag of salt water had disappeared. I was stunned for a moment. Then I realized there was a hand around my waist."What's the matter?" Valentino asked sleepily."I, I fell asleep all of a sudden yesterday, but I didn't see that your water was gone. The alarm clock didn't go off either," I said, frowning and reproaching myself."It's OK. Dr. Rob took care of it for me. I didn't wake you up when I saw you sleeping," Valentino said indifferently, releasing his hold on me.I scrambled out of bed, my cheeks flushed."Are you feeling better?""Much better." Valentino wanted to pretend he was still in pain, but seeing how worried I was, he didn't have the heart to keep up the pretense.I was relieved. "I'll go back to my room to change clothes and wash up.""Go ahead."Back in my room, I looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was a bit messy, and my cheeks were red. I suddenly felt like a fire wa

Chapter 137

Sasha’s POVI hopped over to Fred's side, "Fred, you came so early today?""Isn't the first scene with me today?" Fred looked up at me from the script. "Why are you in such a good mood today?""I'm in a good mood because of Kourtney," I said with a smile. "Kourtney wanted to buy my car, but I refused to sell it to her. She got so mad her face turned red. She’s always trying to cause trouble for me, thinking I don’t notice. If I didn’t have good acting skills, she would’ve made things really tough for me by now."Fred frowned, "Are you sure it’s a good idea to provoke Kourtney? You need to be careful; she's the type to hold a grudge."“I didn’t do anything to her. I just didn’t sell her the car. It’s my car; she can’t force me to sell it, right?” I shrugged."Not necessarily. Just be careful. Kourtney doesn't have a great reputation in the industry," Fred warned."Alright, I'll be careful. But I doubt she’ll do anything to me in broad daylight," I said calmly. My eyes wandered over to

Chapter 138

Kourtney’s POVThe bright light in my eyes made me uncomfortable."I didn’t mean to!" I snapped, "She didn’t even ask for help!""Ask for help in the water? You’ve got to be kidding," someone muttered nearby. "If you’re trying to kill someone on purpose, you’ll end up in jail. This is attempted murder!""Yeah, it’s disgusting. Who would’ve thought a big star could do something like that?"The comments around me made my blood boil.=====Sasha’s POVOver in the tent, I was wrapped in a dry towel, and Fred’s assistant handed me a cup of hot tea.A few crew members came over to check on me."Are you okay, Sasha? How are you feeling?""I’m fine," I replied with a weak smile. But really, who would be okay after almost dying?I was terrified just now. I really thought I was going to drown. If it wasn’t for Fred, I might be dead."Kourtney really crossed the line this time," Fred said, sitting next to me with a grim expression. "It’s one thing to play small pranks, but trying to kill someon

Chapter 139

Valentino’s POV"Are you really okay?" I asked Sasha, feeling uneasy."I'm really all right," she replied with a smile."I'll have someone boil you some ginger soup. It's a bit chilly today, and it's easy to catch a cold without it," I said, signaling the maid to prepare the ginger soup.As we entered the room, I kept watching Sasha. My heart raced with worry for the woman standing before me. It was a huge relief to see that she was unharmed."I'm going to take a shower upstairs," Sasha said.I watched her head upstairs, and without thinking, I followed her.Sasha entered her room, and I followed her inside. She grabbed her clothes and headed toward the bathroom to take a bath. When she turned around, she almost bumped into me, standing there like an idiot. She frowned, "Are you planning to follow me into the bathroom?"I finally stopped, but then I suddenly pulled her into my arms.Sasha froze the moment I held her.She seemed completely lost as I hugged her tightly.Holding her for

Chapter 140

Sasha's POV "Why do you want to go upstairs? It’s time for dinner, and you like eating here," Valentino said, frowning at me, clearly dissatisfied with my attitude."I just didn’t want to disturb you," I shrugged."No, you won’t bother us. You eat your food, and we’ll eat ours," Sandra said with a fake smile.I nodded and sat back down, continuing to eat.During the meal, Sandra took out the chicken soup she brought and poured a bowl for Valentino.Instead of drinking it, Valentino placed the bowl in front of me. "You fell into the water today. Drink some chicken soup to warm up.""It’s not right. She made it for you," I said, glancing at the chicken soup and then at Sandra, who was glaring at me like she wanted to kill me."It’s fine. There’s plenty more," Sandra said, pretending to be generous."Yeah, she said it’s fine. Just drink it," Valentino added.Sandra poured another bowl for Valentino, but he kept looking at me fondly, saying, "Drink slowly, don’t rush. There’s plenty more
