Chapter 41 - Calliope Flores

Callie POVI can feel Jagger’s eyes like daggers on my back, but I ignore him while my friends pull me to dance in different circles. Suddenly, the music stops, and a slow song starts playing. I feel a slight tap on my shoulder, and I see Rachel smiling as Carson pulls her away to dance. I turn around to find Jagger behind me. His eyes scan my face as he offers me a small smile. “Would you like to dance?” He asked, offering me his hand, and I nodded, taking it. Immediately, he pulls me into his arms, and I can’t help but gasp at how tightly he is holding me against him. We stay silent for a little while, but when he pulls away slightly, I look up, and his eyes are darker than normal; they look almost dangerous. And that's when I realize he is not looking at me, but over my shoulder. I look over to find Cornelius in a fiery conversation with R

Chapter 42 - Calliope Flores

Callie POVWalking up the stairs to my childhood bedroom, I keep feeling the tears streaming down my cheeks. I can’t remember the last time I was this heartbroken. Hell, I think I have never been this heartbroken. I’ve had boyfriends before, and I’ve had heartache, but nothing like this.Once inside my bedroom, Rachel watches me as I stay still in the middle of the room. “Hey, he is not worth it,” Rachel says, and I nod with my back turned to her. I can’t face anyone right now. “I’ll go shower,” I say, leaving the bedroom before Rachel can say anything. I enter the bathroom, lock the door behind me, and immediately rest my hands on the sink as I feel my boy trembling as I cry. I raise my head and stare into the mirror. I don’t recognize the girl staring back at me. The puffy eyes and the redness made me realize I was falling harder for him than I anticipa

Chapter 43 - Jagger Bolton

Jagger POV“What the fuck was all that about?” Dash asks as I shake my head. My entire body is trembling in anger. I am going to fucking kill that bastard. “Where did she go?” Dash asks, and I stay silent. If I open my mouth right now, it will be to tell someone to go to hell.I walk away from Dash as he calls for me, but I keep ignoring his ass. I am not going to stay here and wonder what happened. Cornelius has taken way too much from me, and I am not giving him my time. “Jagger, wait up,” Dash calls, but I close my car door and drive away.I watch my brother gesticulate in the middle of the road as I drive away from him. I don’t have time to figure out what happened. I need to find Calliope. Her dorm is the first place I am heading to, but as soon as I knock on the door and no one answers, I feel my heart clenching as everything in me starts losing hope. “Calliope, open the fucking door,” I say as I slam my fist against the wooden door. I rest my ear against the door, and I hear n

Chapter 44 - Jagger Bolton

Jagger POV“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I hear Dash ask, but I ignore him and roll to my stomach, holding the pillow and shoving it over my head. The pillow disappears as soon as I do it, and Dash keeps talking. “Do you know how worried I’ve been?” He asks. “Fuck off,” I bark, grabbing the other pillow, but Dash removes it from my hand, and I snap my eyes open, but the sunlight blinds me almost immediately, forcing me to close my eyes once more. I groan in frustration as I sit up, placing my feet on the floor, my hands covering my face, and my elbows resting on my knees. “Fuck, go have a shower, you fucking stink, and get fucking dressed, I’ll make coffee.” Dash barks at me before he leaves my room, slamming the door. I flinch with the noise as my head pounds. I can’t remember the last time I drank like this. Lies, I can remember. I went down a rabbit hole so bad it made me an addict. Standing up, I walk to the bathroom, and I realize the water is already on, and the steam in

Chapter 45 - Calliope Flores

Callie POVGrowing up, my parents never had enough money to come to Portugal every year, so we came every three or four years. I remember my parents saving money every year and not going anywhere on vacation so we could come here in a few years. I appreciate everything my parents have ever done for me. They worked super hard and taught me to work for everything I wanted.“Don’t forget we are going to see your grandmother tonight,” Mom says, and I nod. I place a small kiss on the top of her head. Coming with them was the best thing I could have done. I used all of my savings to buy a ticket on the same flight as them, and I don’t regret it even for a minute. I have been visiting family daily, and I couldn’t be happier. Well, I could be happier. My heart is still broken with everything that happened in New York. The way Jagger looked at me, how he thought he could show up at my parent's

Chapter 46 - Calliope Flores

Callie POV“Calliope, please,” he says, and I take a deep breath, looking around and finding a small cafe with an outside sitting area. I point at the location, and Jagger lets out an exasperated breath as he follows me. I walk in front of him, taking control of the situation. I need this conversation done. Nothing he can say to me will make things return to how they were. As we reach the little cafe, Jagger pulls a chair for me, and I raise an unimpressed brow at him, and he keeps his eyes on me. “Don’t look at me like that, Calliope. You might hate me right now, but I am still a gentleman,” he says, and I shake my head slightly, sitting. Jagger walks around the metal table and sits in front of me. His eyes scan my face, probably trying to find clues about how I will behave today. “Calliope, I want to apologize,” Jagger say

Chapter 47 - Calliope Flores

Calliope POVJagger stands up, pulling me up with him. I can’t help but giggle as the cable car moves with our movement, and Jagger sits. Jagger places me on his lap, straddling him. His eyes locked on mine as he smiles. “You are fucking perfect Calliope,” he says. His voice lower and deeper than normal. Jagger leans closer to me, ending the distance between us as his lips meet mine and his hands keep me in place. His fingers dig into my hips as I feel his cock growing under me, and I adjust myself letting out a small moan as his erection presses against my aching pussy. I miss him so much, and it seems like my body also misses him. A loud noise makes me pull away from Jagger as we both pant while I rub myself on him, and the cable car starts moving. “Don’t ever walk away from me, I don’t know if I will be able to handle it,&rdquo

Chapter 48 - Jagger Bolton

Jagger POVCalliope’s phone starts ringing just as I close the hotel room door, and her eyes widen as she looks around and opens her purse, retrieving the phone. “Shit,” she curses under her breath, and I frown, watching her run to the balcony and open the door allowing the outside noise to enter the room. “Mama,” she says, and I watch her entire body stiffen as she listens to whatever her mother is saying on the other side. “I lost track of time; I will meet you there; I am on my way,” she says, and when her eyes meet mine as she looks at me over her shoulder, I feel like I have been stabbed right in the heart. The way her eyes stare at me, the sorrow and desire mixed, makes me want to wrap my arms around her and never let her go. “I promise I won’t be long,” she says before she ends the call and shoves her phone into her back pocket. “I have to go; I am going for dinner at my grandmother’s house,” Calliope says, and I nod slightly.“I’ll take you there,” I say, and she shakes her

Chapter 49 - Jagger Bolton

TRIGGER WARNING - Death of an infant, blood.Jagger POV“You are an asshole,” Bella tells me as she slams the door closed, and I rest my forehead against the bathroom door. I shake my head slightly as I take a deep breath. She might be right. I might be an asshole, but I fucking hate the fact she is going out clubbing when we have such a little baby. She could respect our family a little bit more. “Bella, come on, open the door,” I say, but she stays silent on the other side. I was awake all night with Julien. He was crying all night. Bella decided to stop breastfeeding around two weeks ago, and he is refusing his bottles now. He only wants his mommy, and I can’t really blame him for that. I hear Julien crying in his room and walk there, picking him up into my arms. “It’s okay, Daddy is here,” I whisper as I rock him in my arms, and he settles a little. The noises he makes melt my heart. Julien quickly goes back to sleep, and I walk back to the bathroom to find Bella standing by the

Chapter 50 - Calliope Flores

Callie POVJagger hasn’t answered his phone since yesterday, and something in me tells me he is not okay. He would never not answer his phone or reply to my texts. Something must’ve happened. I grab the coffee from the counter and empty it in one go. It’s a good thing it’s not hot anymore. I hold my purse, and as I open the door, my mom appears behind me. “So early?” She asks, looking at her watch, and I offer her a small smile and nod. “Yeah, I have a lot to do today, a lot to see,” I say, kissing her on the cheek before I leave. Jagger’s hotel is not far from where I am staying, so I decided to walk there. Waiting for a bus would probably take me longer than walking, and I was right. No buses passed me as I walked to his hotel. I enter the lobby, look both ways, as no one is paying attention, and run to the elevator. I press the button several times, and when I am inside and the doors close, I take a deep breath, feeling relief. When I reach his floor, I walk straight to his room
