Jagger POVCalliope falls asleep in the car, giving me time to think about what I am going to do. I can’t be seen anywhere with her, not even in my apartment in the city, and I definitely can’t take her to the safe house. My grip tightens on the steering wheel as I decide to take her to my cabin. Only Ghost and Dash know about the cabin. Not even Wyatt knows about it. I bought it a few years ago, and that’s where I come when I need to get off the grid and be alone. I never brought anyone to the cabin so bringing Calliope is new even for me. When I stop the car, she moves on her seat but keeps her eyes shut. I take a deep breath, get out of the car, and inhale the pine scent surrounding us. My entire body relaxes immediately as I open the door and step inside, turning the alarm off. It might be a cabin in the middle of nowhere, but it still needs security; the entire place is wired to the most sophisticated security system. Sometimes, hikers spot the house and try to get inside. So,

Jagger POVHaving Calliope under me is like a fucking dream. It feels so fucking good. I am very tempted to keep her here all to myself. Her lips tease my chin while I kiss her face, and her hands travel down my back to my ass. No woman has ever tried to command me; I would never have it, but with Calliope, I might allow her. Pulling away slightly, I watch as she opens her eyes, and everything in me comes crashing down. All the barriers and walls I built over the years disappear with just one look; the desire in her eyes tells me she wants me as much as I want her. She is craving me as much as I am craving her, and I hope to fucking God we both get satisfied after one time together because I know once we go back to New York, we won’t be able to keep this going. Calliope’s exposed body under me is like a dream. She is perfect in every way. I don’t even know how our clothes ended up on the floor. It was a mixture of desire and wild movements. Slowly, I pull away, cursing under my breath

Jagger POVI can’t believe we have been stuck in this house for the past three days. I am not even letting her go out for air. I can’t get enough of Calliope, and getting to know her is becoming my addiction. “My turn,” she says as she holds on to her wine glass and smiles. We are both sitting on the couch and Calliope has her legs resting on my lap as I cover them with a blanket while we drink red wine and listen to the rain outside. The fireplace is on creating a warm and cozy environment for our get-to-know-twenty-question game. “Do you know how to ride a bike?” Calliope asks, and I can’t help but chuckle. I nod, and she smiles. “I don’t,” she says, and my eyes widen as she shrugs her shoulders. I open my mouth, but Calliope shakes her head and asks another question: “How old were you when you had your first crush?” I frown, trying to remember my first crush. Remembering Miss Miles brings a smile to my face. “Around ten, she was my teacher,” I say, and Calliope smiles. She was ve

Jagger POV“Where the fuck have you been?” Dash asks as soon as he opens my office door. He storms inside, and I remove my glasses, throwing them on the desk as I lean back on my chair and watch as my brother looks at me. I raise an unimpressed brow as he sits on the chair opposite mine. “Are you not going to say anything?” He asks, and I shake my head, enjoying way too much how pissed my brother is. I know I should’ve told him, but hey… He knew I was safe. “I thought you were fucking dead,” he adds, and this time I chuckle at his stupidity. Dash looks at me as he crosses his arms in front of his chest. “Don’t be a drama queen,” I say, and Dash’s face becomes bright red as he leans forward and slams his hands on my desk. I look at him, and his hands shake, and I frown. I haven’t checked my messages, and now I realize maybe I should’ve. “What the fuck?”“You’re such an asshole; Wyatt has been worried sick; his deal fell to the ground because of what happened,” Dash adds, and I shrug

Callie POV“Miss Calliope Flores, would you please come with us?” I hear the police officer say. They just walked into the classroom where I was having one of my exams. I raise my head to look at the woman as she stands next to me. I look at the professor, who looks as confused as I feel, and I frown. “I’m in the middle of an exam. Can’t this wait?” I ask the officer, but she shakes her head. The professor walks to me, trying to figure out what is going on. “I am sure your professor will let you do the exam another day; this is important and can not wait,” the officer says. I nod, biting the inside of my cheek as I looked around the classroom. Everyone was looking at me instead of at the exam. “Can I call my lawyer?” I ask as I leave the room being escorted by two police officers. They stay silent, and I frown as I stop walking. “Can you please tell me what is going on?” I ask, and they look at each other and then back at me. “You will soon find out,” one of them says, and I shake
