Lahat ng Kabanata ng Her thirst for vengeance: Kabanata 801 - Kabanata 810

3rd POV Lady Chelsea stepped out of Alpha Hector’s room with a slow, careful exhale, like she had been holding her breath for far too long inside those four walls. And even now the weight of him seemed to cling to her skin as she adjusted her posture and smoothed down her sleeves. The healer had already been called in and Hector had finally, reluctantly, been made to lie back, though it had taken more patience than she liked to admit, because at first he had refused to listen to anyone who wasn’t Ivonne, his voice sharp with worry and disbelief as he kept insisting that he needed to see her immediately, as if the world itself would collapse if she wasn’t within reach.Chelsea had stayed calm through all of it, speaking gently, carefully choosing every word, until she finally managed to convince him that Ivonne was safe, that they had already spoken on the same side of things, and that whatever was going on, pushing himself into collapse would not help him reach her any faster. Then

Ivonne's POV I had never seen the Lycan court this full before. Every seat in the hall was taken, bodies pressed together along the stone benches that curved around the open arena floor in a wide circle. The air was thick with noise — hundreds of conversations layered on top of each other, the occasional sharp laugh, the low rumble of anticipation that rolled through a crowd when everyone knew something significant was about to happen but nobody knew exactly what shape it would take. Banners bearing the Lycan crest hung from the high walls, deep blue and silver, catching the light. It was impressive in a way that made my chest feel tight, though I wasn't entirely sure if that was the grandeur of it or the anxiety sitting just under my ribs that I had been carrying all morning. I found a seat in the stands and settled in, twisting my hands together in my lap and trying to look calmer than I felt. Then the doors at the far end of the arena opened, and Hector walked in. My breath

Ivonne's povI didnt know what the hell he meant by that, or what he was about to prove, but I knew it would not end well for me. That was a fact.Elder Marcellus stood at the front of the elder's platform with those papers in his hands and that excited expression on his face and I hated him in that moment with a clarity that surprised even me."Those documents," I said, and my voice cutting through the noise around me with enough force that the nearest sections of the crowd quieted to hear me. "Where did you get them?"Marcellus looked at me with something that might have been amusement if it had been warmer. "The origin of the documents is not what concerns this court, Luna Ivonne," he said smoothly. "What concerns this court is what they contain.""How you got It absolutely concerns this court," I snarled, "Those papers were in my private quarters which you can not legally access without my permission, so I want to know how they ended up in your hands."A murmur ran through the cro

Ivonne's povThe hall was still emptying when I stepped down from the podium, and the noise around me had shifted into something lower and more sustained... everyone had an opinion and intended to share it with whoever was standing nearest to them.I moved through all of it like I was walking through water, my mind still stuck somewhere between Marcellus holding those documents up and the name of the forest that had made the entire hall go quiet in a way that nothing else all morning had done. The Aldenmere.Even thinking the name felt intimidatingI spotted Hector moving toward the far exit with Chelsea beside him and started after him without fully deciding to, my feet making the choice before my head caught up. I was almost close enough when a hand suudenly closed around my wrist. It was Thorin ofcourse. His grip wasn't rough but it was firm, and his eyes when I turned to face him were carrying something I hadn't seen in them very often, genuine worry, raw and sincere worry. He rem

Ivonne's POVI couldn't sit still after I found the note.I sat on the edge of my bed with Hector's handwriting staring up at me from my lap and turned the seven words over and over in my mind until the sky outside my window had gone from deep blue to the pale grey of early morning. They plan to kill you in there.Someone had a plan. A specific, deliberate plan to murder me.Which meant the Aldenmere wasn't just going to be dangerous in the way Thorin and Elara and everyone else had been warning me about. It was going to be dangerous in an additional and more personal way on top of all of that.DamnThe first thing I felt was fear. The second thing was worry — not for myself but for Hector, because if someone had gone to the trouble of planning something specifically for me inside that forest, there was no reason to assume they hadn't planned something for him too.He was the other inconvenient person in this competition. He was the Alpha they were trying to replace. If anything, he w
