Ronan's POV I blinked at Sabrina as she made her demand that I give her a job at the firm. I must confess I am secretly surprised she is showing some backbone and not afraid to demand what she wants. It's one of the qualities that drew me to her because for the role she will be playing for the next 6 months she will need some backbone to handle Olivia and my mum.“Hmm since there is no vacancy at the firm at the moment, your request will be hard.” I lied pretending to think about it. Honestly, though, I had intended to give her a job at the firm that would be a perfect way to show her off as my fiancee which invariably makes Olivia back off.“You have to make it possible because I am signing those papers unless you agree. She huffs, sounding indignant when both know she doesn't have a choice but to sign it. I refrain from calling her bluff as my eyes trail down the tiny robe she is wearing. My mind involuntarily pictures her without it and I wrestle to bring my body under control.

Sabrina's POV I was still flipping through the folder the rude lady dropped on my new desk in the office attached to Ronan’s office when I heard someone clearing their throats. My head snapped up as I eyed the gorgeous male specimen standing before me.The stranger lets out a loud whistle as he smiles and walks closer to me. He is dressed in an expensive-looking suit and at his 6’3 height, he towers over me.“Hi! I see you are Ronan's new secretary. I am Richard from the mergers and acquisition department.” He says stretching out his hand for a handshake, with a pleasant smile on his face. I shake his hand and return the smile, glad to find someone here who doesn't outrightly hate me.“Hi! I am Sabrina and Yes I am Ronan's new secretary.” I replied. He puts his hand back into his pocket before giving him a once over, not even bothering to pretend he is checking me out. However, instead of finding his stare making me aroused like Ronan's stare usually does, all I feel is amusement.“

Sabrina POV “Relax, you are too fidgety. It's just dinner.” Ronan says as we approach the entrance of his parent's mansion. Easy for him to say! He isn't the one going into what may likely be the lion's den. The house is so big and intimidating. The presence of heavy security personnel patrolling the entire place does little to calm my nerves. I wonder why they need this much security or if it's just today because of the dinner. I take a deep breath and force myself to relax after all it's just a dinner like Ronan said. All we have to do is eat, break the news of our engagement to his parents, answer a few questions, and head back home. What could go wrong? I thought as the doors to the house opened at our approach and Ronan and I walked in. I wore the red dress we picked at the boutique paired with a beautiful gold sandal and a gold clutch. I let my long hair fall freely to my waist. The gold necklace and earrings Ronan gifted me, complement the outfit beautifully, giving me

Sabrina's POV “Are you okay?” Ronan asks for the third time since we left his parent's house. “I told you already. I am fine.” I lied. I don't know how I feel right now but I don't think telling Ronan about it is the best thing to do at the moment, besides whining about what has happened isn't going to change anything. I just want to get to my room, lock my doors, and let all of the frustrations and pain I feel inside out.“I know I have said it before but I am still very sorry about what happened to my parents. I never expected Mom to slap you. I know she can sometimes lose her cool but I have never seen her physically assault anyone before.” Ronan says, sounding very apologetic. I shrugged. “You don't need to apologize. You are not responsible for your mother's actions. Besides I signed up for this contract so I guess I have to be prepared for everything that comes with it.” I say feigning nonchalance.“You didn't sign up for being physically abused, Sabrina. I will talk to my

Sabrina's POV “Wow, this place is amazing! I can't even afford a bottle of water in this place .” I exclaim in awe as Maxwell drops us off. I am aware Ronan is rich, I mean the shopping at the boutique proved that, but still, bringing me to a five-star restaurant where a cup of water probably cost up to 100 dollars? I don't want to know how much money Ronan has in his account to be able to afford all of these luxuries without stress.“Darling I am the one paying so you don't need to bother about affording a bottle of water.” He frowned. “I can afford it, so just relax and enjoy yourself.” with the confident smile of someone who knows his worth, he takes my hand in his and me inside.I discreetly finger my hair hoping to straighten it into something a little nice. Because of how late I was this morning I hadn't had time to do anything to my hair. I wasn't expecting to go out. I drop my hand back to my side when I see that my attempt to arrange it is only worsening it.Immediately we s
