Melissa floated in the air along with butterflies, as she felt herself in one of the best atmospheres ever. She felt happy and could smell her favorite spring smell from afar and there were tangerines too. Their smell reminded her of Richard's lips and like magic he was there with her. She closed her eyes and leaned forward to kiss him but before she could a cold water splashed against her body and she opened her eyes. She wasn't in paradise as much as she wanted to be nor was Richard in front of her trying to kiss her. There were also no tangerine smells or roses anywhere. She was only bombarded with the stench of blood. The moment she came to her senses she scanned her environment. She was in a room, a dark room with two dark windows on its right where a little ray of sun sneaked in from. She tried to turn around and that was the moment she discovered she was tied up and hanging in mid air. Her back had been strained for being in the same position all this while so she held the

Abbot jerked backward, almost reeling over and he knew at once that he was in trouble. But how could she break the chains? They’d injected her with enough wolfsbane to kill a wolf and still she was this strong? Abbot stepped back a bit and watched Melissa who just stood there silently, breathing. Her breaths were steady and a low growl could be heard from within it. She was tired and she could barely take a step, she probably had used all her strength trying to wrench off the metal. She took a step forward and fell down to the floor. “My lady,” Jacob said from the iron. “Please, do not hurt yourself,” he exhaled and then turned to look at Abbot. “But do not give up!” He roared. Then his eyes glowed and Abbot could see the veins around the corner of his eyes turn black, he was in more pain than she should be with that silly defiance he was trying to portray. Once hit with a wolfsbane, wolves try as much as possible not to turn because that way it is less painful and kills them slow

Melissa held her hand up and placed her left leg 8n front of her right like Beateice had taught her. She couldn't turn anymore, if she tried she would sap out all the strength left in her. And in the end it would mean anything if she was a raging inferno for just a minute. She needed to buy as much time as possible. Her only hope currently was that Richard was coming. Normally she knew it was a far fetched hope, it wasn't necessarily easy to find this place and also how would they be sure this was the exact place they sent her. She however didn't mind those odds as long as it gave her hope. Hope was what was keeping her up now and she needed that hope more than anything. She turned to the three Sentinels who had decided to stay with her. “If we survive this, you guys will receive medals of honor,” she said as the guards stood in front of them, all of them with bats. They obviously had guns in their pockets but for some reason they were not using it. Melissa noticed that and came t

Lpki glanced up from his seat and got up immediately and he got up exactly at the same time with Beatrice who was also already eager to move. Beatrice looked at him and then smiled. “Thank you very much,” she said. “That helped a lot,” she held Richard's hand for a while then leaned forward and pecked him on the forehead. Richard was surprised at this and looked at her with a serious gaze. “In another world, I'd be your big sister,” she said with a giggle and walked away with Avalors. Richard smiled and just shook his head. She was a cool person and he realized that she was one of the few people he was actually comfortable with. Even though they didn't speak much, their urge to protect and help Melissa put them as friends much more than she realized. They walked forward as the Infernal entered the room and everyone lined up to get started. The group was split into four squads. Beatrice led one, Richard led one, the Infernal led one and then Avalors. They were going to the old d

Melissa held Richard's hand in hers while he sat directly beside her, his eyes closed. He was using his wolven ability to scan the entire area. His ears would detect the slightest shuffle and it was the best way to protect her at the moment. He opened his eyes at last. “We are clear, at least for the next five minutes,” he said. “Are you in pain?” He asked. Melissa looked at him, a face she could never really get tired of looking at. She smiled and then shook her head. “My head is throbbing a little but I think I am too low on blood to actually feel anything,” she replied.“Electrocution?” He asked. “Yes, multiple times,” she replied. “After this I am gonna kill the infernal,” he said. Melissa chuckled. “How was the journey back home?” She asked. “Hectic, but nothing the demon wolf couldn't pull,” he said. He pulled out two guns from his pocket and handed one over to her. “We will be having company soon,” he said. “You know how to use a gun right?” He asked. Melissa nodded. She
