June explained her ordeal to Zeus who listened with Rapt attention. By the time she was done, he stared at her like she had grown a second head. "You mean to tell me that you were given a second chance at living if you succeed in saving me from a mysterious danger?" He asked with an incredulous tone. "How stupid do you think I am?" June swore under her breath. "I am only trying to save my life by saving yours. If my Ex-husband lives in you as you claim, then he must have a mission too,"Zeus remained calm, watching her with suspicious looks. She was right. The personality who lived inside of him spoke of having a mission too. However, he wasn't patient enough to find out the details. Neither was Rafael happy to disclose it. Zeus decided that since the young lady's mission was to save his life, he was curious to see how that played out. "Do you realise I am the most powerful living being alive?" He asked June who held her tongue. "Didn't I tell you? I could wipe the entire universe

"This is not right! I won't take it! I earned that spot fair and square!" Tara threw a fit in Georgina's office. "Was this your plan? Did you plan to sabotage me?!" She yelled at Georgina, looking berserk. "You need to fix this! I should be Luna! She can't take my position! If you don't do something I will-""That's where I'm going to stop you, Tara." Georgina snapped, having had enough of her senseless display of anger. "You will not threaten me in my office." She said in a stern voice. "I don't care how angry you are, but if you won't respect me then I'll be forced to ask you out of my office."Tara didn't let up. "I know you poisoned him." She said, "Was it the same poison you gave me to get Augusta removed from the equation?""Yes. And you foolishly used it to kill Candice." Georgina finished with a smirk. "You act so smart and yet you can't see how much of a fool you have been.""Do you think Zeus hasn't figured out that the same poison used to kill him was the one found in Zo

June and Tara stood before Zeus and the NightShade Pack the next day. Both dressed in tank tops and joggers. The entire field was silent as Zeus addressed the women. "Today marks the beginning of the Luna games tournament."He looked pissed as he spoke. "As you all know, Tara Gilbert challenged my mate and Luna to a duel.""It is in line with our customs for the incoming Luna to defend her title in times like this, hence the need for this exercise.""Make no mistakes." Zeus warned. "I do not forgive." His eyes trailed towards Tara as he spoke."As you all know, there will be three exercises which will determine the winner of this exercise."Mrs Georgina stood beside the king with a light expression. "The ladies will be tested on their wrestling prowess, intellect and hunting abilities." "The winner will be decided based on the results. Anyone who wins two out of three would be declared the winner."He faced the women with a frown marred on his face. "Good luck."June and Tara bowed

The next exercise was scheduled for dusk. June had the entire day to prepare herself for the next duel which would involve the use of intellect. She had high hopes for this type of exercise as it depended on her intelligence and not the physical strength she clearly lacked. June had yet to speak to her wolf or Augusta. It seemed like they didn't try to speak to her either because she couldn't even feel the buzz of their presence. She didn't let it bother her and went on with her training. It was very early in the day and June stepped out of bed to sprint. Zeus joined her on the training ground with a frown marred against his face. "You scared me." He said, June was startled. She didn't hear him come in."Didn't you hear me come?" Zeus inquired with narrowed brows. "You sneaked up on me," she spoke in an accusing tone. "You should have sensed me." Zeus stated with a blank expression. "I didn't, okay?" She deadpanned, tired of the backs and forths.Zeus walked up to her and took

Tara's wolf hunted and killed a coyote after two hours. She ripped the animal to shreds and took out its thigh bones. Afterwards, she buried the animal and headed on to find June. With a look at the sky, she figured she had a bit of time to carry out her plans before midnight. June scoured the woods, pondering on the words - beneath the darkened veil, where the world above has lost its trail. She looked at the dark skies thoughtfully. "Where has the world above lost its trail?" She voiced her concerns, asking the empty sky. "There you are." She heard a familiar voice and turned around. "Looking for this?" Tara whipped out a bone with a smirk in place. June felt her heart stop. She couldn't believe it. "Is t-that?""Don't be a fool now, Augusta. I won this round and the last one. I defeated you." She said with a cynical look. June's feet were stuck to the ground, unmoving as she thought on the implications of her loss. "As much as I would love to let you experience the feeling o
