KAYAFrom the way she was talking, I was afraid to ask for the number of kids that were there but I had to.“How many kids were there? Do you know?”She nodded.“At the time I got there, there were thirty kids. By the time I left, there were seventy five.”How in the world did that amount of kids go missing and Adrian and I heard nothing about it?“Seventy five.”That was a large number. Too large.“And all the kids are from this pack. We talk to each other so we asked around when the guards left the room at night. Every month, they bring a new batch of kids but a week ago, they brought in only one boy.”My ears perked up at that.“What did he look like?”I could see that she waa trying hard to remember.“Dark hair, dark eyes. Around my age. He doesn't really speak but he often speaks to the guards on our behalf. He's the only one who has ever spoken to the master.”“The master? Who's that?”She looked at her mother before she answered.“He doesn't really come in. I've only heard his

KAYA“Adrian, wait. You have to listen to me. You can't just do things without thinking far ahead.”He turned to me so sharply that I almost bumped into him.“What else is there to think about, Kaya? That bastard took my son and other kids and you think I'm just going to sit back and do nothing?!”“That is exactly the reason why you should not be rash. He has the upper hand here and I fear he would not hesitate to use it if he's pushed. I'm very sure he knows who Milo is and do you think if you attack him, he won't use him as leverage? You're putting Milo at risk so please, be careful and think about it.”He finally let out a breath and sat on the bed.“I don't even know who the Alpha is. Golden Blade has never shown their Alpha. Their Beta is always the one who attends meetings and all that.”That didn't make sense.“And you didn't find it weird after all this time? It didn't occur to you that there might be something more to it?”He shrugged.“I have a kingdom to rule. I don't spend

KAYA“My Queen,It's been so many years since I saw you or heard your sweet voice. You walking out of my life all those years ago, left a big hole in my heart that couldn't be filled with any other woman's love. You were my first love and you'll always remain my first love. I can't deny the fact that I let the years go by without reaching out to you but I was too busy becoming a man, making myself worry of seeing you.And now, I'm proud to say that I have made something of myself. I've turned myself into someone you would be proud of, someone you can call a husband. Everything you possibly want, I have it.All you have to do is just say yes. Let's leave the past behind us, the past never does anyone any good. The mistake I made with Serena was stupid and I agree but you shouldn't have given up on us just like that. You should have continued to show me how much you love me and maybe I would have come back to you.Notwithstanding, I'm ready now. I'm ready to love you and love all of you

KAYALet's just say being the Queen has spoiled me.I wasn't used to walking in the thick bushes and I can't count the amount of times I tripped over a branch or my own two feet. My own shadow scared me.I should have taken guards with me, Adrian told me to but my mind was too fixed on just leaving. Now, I wanted to pee badly and there was no way I was going to do it in these bushes..“How’s it going out there? Don't you wish you had waited for me now?”I had to turn around and make sure that he was not behind me.“No, I do not. It's going very well. It's almost like I was born with the trees. You can call me Mother Nature.”He burst out laughing, knowing I was bullshitting him.“I trust you'll be fine. I fired Shawn.”I had to stop walking and process what he said.“Did you just say you fired Shawn? Why? I mean, I like that but why? I thought you couldn't see anything wrong in him.”He sighed.“I lied. I knew what he was doing, I knew why you didn't like him. I just wanted you to de

THIRD PERSON POVMilo looked around him and wondered what was going on.They hadn't been told anything but the guards had come around the day before to round them up and take them outside. That was the first time some of them were seeing sunlight in months and he felt bad for them. He had been seeing it since he basically dined with the king every night.Even though he kept asking where they were being taken to, there was no answer given and batch by batch, they were taken out of the room.Unlike last time, he was blindfolded and transported away from the pack. They drove a while in the carriage and then they stopped at a small pack at the edge of the Bouncy Jackson.Milo had learnt that it was named that because if you dropped anything mistakenly into it, the Jackson would throw it back up. Fools who threw themselves into it were never seen again. They took them to a house and put them there, guarding the door just like back in the palace.Thankfully, Daphne was by his side.“What do
