Lahat ng Kabanata ng Her Double Trouble: My Alpha and My Mate: Kabanata 81 - Kabanata 90

Gabe POVThe sky stretched endlessly gray, the sun barely cutting through the heavy clouds as I stood at the edge of the camp, staring at the southern border where the land met the sea. The wall that once separated the salt waters from the sand was in ruins, shattered by the curse my mother had unleashed on this world. The waves crashed in a rhythmic hum, their sound both comforting and disheartening. As the cold water lapped over my bare feet, I felt a flicker of hope. The sea had always given me a sense of peace, a reminder of the island I'd grown up on, where the vastness of the ocean seemed both beautiful and dangerous. Yet now, as I stood on the shore, the future felt as uncertain as the waters before me. I couldn't afford to dwell on that uncertainty, not when there was so much at stake. But no matter how hard I tried to focus, my mind always drifted to the one thing that never left me, Ruby.It had always been Ruby. It always would be Ruby. I wished she were here beside me, to

Sebastian POVI watched from a distance as Ruby and Gabe reunited, her laughter cutting through the air like a melody I once held close. Every echo of her joy was a dagger to my chest. The way she melted into his embrace, the way he held her, it was like I was watching my own heart being ripped out and handed over to him. My wolf, Kane, snarled in fury, clawing at my insides, begging to be set free, demanding blood, his blood."Kill him! Mark her!" My wolf snarled inside me. But I couldn't. Not here. Not now. The cheers of the crowd rose around them, celebrating their reunion, while I stood paralyzed, drowning in a pain I couldn't show. I should have been happy for her, for them, but all I felt was a hollow ache and the rising burn of anger, dark and consuming."Sebastian?" Sylvia's voice broke through, but it felt distant, like a whisper in a storm. I turned to her, forcing a smile, but the strain behind it was painfully obvious. I could feel it cracking at the edges."I'm fine," I

Gabe POVThe second I saw her, everything disappeared. Ruby was here, in front of me, wrapped around me, looking at me like I was truly her mate. All this time I prepared myself for when we would cross paths again. I ran a hundred scenarios in my head how it would play out, and not one of them did I think she would ever forgiveme, especially not this easily. Then I caught the glances from Sebastian, how he looked ready to eat me, then her. What was worse was how Ruby looked at him. There was something still there, lingering above us and if left unresolved too long would explode. For a brief moment she was just mine though. I watched every wrinkle of her eyebrows, every burst of joy from her lips, and every glint of hope in her eyes as the ocean crawled over her feet. It washed over her like it needed her touch, just as badly as I did. Ruby was meant to be in the water, a beach babe in a skimpy bikini swimming out to the reef. I couldn't wait until we had more time to really enjoy it

Sebastian POVAs I ventured beyond the safety of Ruby's light, the world darkened around me and I shifted, releasing Kane and all his pent up anger. I fought tirelessly, my mind consumed with thoughts of her and Gabe. I knew they were together, night after night, wrapped around each other's body. He probably already marked her again, claimed her truly and completely. We had a war to win, then a world to repair from the damages of Katherine's curse, but I couldn't bring myself back to any of them. Each clash of my claws against bone was a release for the turmoil inside me, a chance to push back against the darkness that threatened to consume my soul. I never enjoyed battle, or blood, certainly not death, never until now. This was where I belonged, the place I was meant to thrive and live in. I was filled with rage and darkness, an Alpha that was never meant to be born. My 72 hours of space turned into a week and then another, and I relished in the destruction I caused out here. The

Sebastian POVThe closer I came to Crescent Haven the more uneasy I felt. I swear I felt a whisper of desperation follow me the whole way home. It grew louder and louder, an urge within me to return home and claim Ruby."Are you ok?" Sylvia asked for the hundredth time as we journeyed back home. The darkness had seemed to follow us too. A grey cloud shielding the Southern sun behind us. "I'm fine! It is this world that is damned." I spoke in a deep tone, a roughness I never had before. "We need a permanent solution to this ratchet curse. It's growing, becoming too strong." I let a growl of disapproval. I killed at least hundred zombie werewolves out here and it barely seemed to make a dent. We would have to dig up every soul that ever died and burn them to ever see peace. "I think it might be drawn to you, Alpha," Sylvia said, glancing warily behind us. The fog did seem to linger near me now, when before it always kept its distance."We needed the gold crystals, that's all," I insis
