Lahat ng Kabanata ng Entangled in the Ceo's Arms : Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

Miley POV Until yesterday, I bore the resentment towards the man that had caused me the most pain in my life. Last night, the sense of emptiness grew larger to the point where I went to my children's room, to sleep with them, even though I could not fall asleep. The nightmare was not the usual one; this time Logan was leaving, and I saw him from afar, because my chest hurt from his gaze, and hearing his words echo "| love you" as he walked away. Why won't he leave me in peace? Two days have passed, and those dreams have not left me, and they continue to hurt. Now, I am in the office having dropped my children at the nursery, paying little to no attention to anything. In the last nightmare, Logan was dead, his hands cold and pale, with a tormented expression that I can't shake from my mind. It hurts to even remember it.Dave kept me sane during my workday; he does not know what is happening to me, or at least l like to believe so. However, during the mandatory bre

Logan's assertion, something I didn't expect, am I not the most aware that Jaden is a wonderful, special child? But how could he know something bad was going to happen to me? I saw Logan stand up and I stopped him. "You're not fully recovered yet, your fever was nearly 104 degrees until recently." (He's still very warm) Logan: I'm fine... he pulled away from my grasp, the moment I focused on the way he held it, Logan: Sorry, I didn't mean to... he'd apologized earlier for touching me, he was helping me, but he continues to apologize, even now when I was the one who approached him, (though it was without thought)Logan: Miley thank you for being here, it truly makes me happy, but you owe me nothing, the last thing I want is to make you feel guilty or worried, my wounds are healed, see? and yes, he's right, there's not a trace left of even the smallest cut, but that happened long ago, what has kept him here, are his fevers and all the rest, and though it's tr

Miley POV I often wonder if letting my guard down and letting Logan get close is the right thing to do, but the smile on my children's faces makes it all worth it. Plus, Jaden is suffering because of both of us; I can't keep harboring all this hate and anger. It doesn't matter if it hurts me, but if it harms my baby, that I will not allow. And if Logan needs to be near them to stop feeling the same, then he can come closer. After dropping them off at school in the morning, I went out to buy a few things. It's a surprise; I hope they like it.Dave barely speaks to me anymore. I've already apologized; what else does he want? I can't do much more; maybe things are fine as they are. When I returned to my office, I found a beautiful bouquet of red and white roses. I must admit, it brought back so many happy memories that I couldn't help but smile. It was quite unexpected and sweet, and I originally thought Dave had sent them since he didn't come in with me like he somet

Logan POV Though the feeling of emptiness and pain within me persists, moments like these gift me with happiness and fortune-a fortune I know I don't deserve, but cannot help but relish in.Miley is right to chide me for my excessive requests. Little does she know, the more I restrain my heart's desires and impulses, the greater my need grows to shield and delight them. Yet, I cannot forget that their joy might require my absence. It pains me to consider, but should my proximity inflict further hurt... I will depart. To what extent must I distance myself to not seem a threat to her? Her fear from that time haunts me, continuing to inflict pain. So, when I see her now, and the urge to draw closer, to simply hold her hand or share a kiss swells-if only I were bolder-it all remains wishful thinking. To Miley, I am the fiend that wrecked her life, a truth I can't alter, notwith standing a thousand lifetimes. I trail her car, yearning to ride alongside her. Shari

After Draco had departed, I took my leave as well, finishing up reading the dossier on that damned man, and now I have enough on my plate. I didn't want to create a scene outside Miley's office; it wasn't the time for her to find out about this matter. So, trying to keep as level-headed as possible, I summoned him to my office. I may not want a mess outside, but the rules are different here-the first punch landed in his stomach. Lucky for him, he at least knows how to defend himself, not that it gave him much chance.Dave: What the hell is wrong with you? You call me here to talk, and then you just attack me without warning. -Ha, it seems the blows sharpened his tongue; his respectful manner is gone. I don't care, right now, I'm not a Pierce, I'm a man furious with a conniving scoundrel. I delivered another punch; that one I enjoyed far more. To be honest, I needed to vent all the damn frustration that I've been feeling. "Did you think you could toy with Miley's
