~Tate’s Point of View~“Goddess can we just have one normal day,” I sigh, and roll my head around my neck as Rowan brings us up to speed on his news. Luc starts to tell him ours and I half tune it out. There isn’t a chance in hell the council would take Reha from us and give her to some fucking rogues. Even if they want visitation it’ll be over my dead body.*And now we have to find Harlow’s parents, whatever it takes. She needs that,* Colt whines, cocking his head to the side. It’s a tall damn order, but I’ve been up against the odds before. This is huge though, too huge. My gut sinks as I think about asking my father for help. It’s the smart move, he has so many contacts. It’s for Harlow though, and I have to put my pride aside. I just hope the small army Rowan already has working on it gets lucky and finds her parents first. Mirren wrote down some key names, locations and dates he’s following up on. Without her having this knowledge, we’d have been cooked for sure. I have no doubt

~Tate’s Point of View~“I’ve personally told her you’re coming and that she has real living family… but Tate… she’s had a crazy life. A rogue since who knows when. As it was told to me, she was found in the woods eating grass as a toddler. They call her the red wonder baby because no one knows how long she was out there or what she encountered. She had no diaper on, just buck naked with bug bites, all kinds of cuts and bruises on her. But it was like it didn’t phase her. She just kept going,” Ridge says, in awe. “Just like we had to do but in different circumstances,” Hudson says, pulling Harlow into his chest.“I should have-” Harlow starts to say, but closes her mouth.“Baby there’s nothing you could have done at the time. This is ALL on Otis and Caden,” I snap, and reach for her hand.*That’s right! Not our mate’s fault,* Colt says, wagging his tail.“She would be 11 in a couple months,” Hudson says, matter of fact. Harlow looks at him, impressed. “That’s great to know because we

~Three Nights Later~~Harlow’s Point of View~“You don’t have to go.”“We’ll tell her you’re sick.”“The baby needs you more.”I laugh at my mates, completely losing their shit because I got invited to a sex toy party!“There’s no boys allowed,” I tease with an over the top giggle, waving make-up brush in their faces. Why I’m trying so hard to look nice for a bunch of women I don’t quite know. Probably still have some peer pressure tendencies. They all look at me with the most adorable defeated faces. I nearly feel bad for deserting them for a few hours but honestly, the idea of laughing my ass off and just enjoying myself for awhile sounds awesome.“Not fair that I can’t go,” Ruby whines, as she looks over my jewelry chest. Rowan has already bought me so much, I couldn’t possibly ever wear it all.“No way,” Tate says, matter of fact, making wild gestures with his hands. “When you’re old enough, I promise,” I say, with a wink. I pick up a cute bangle bracelet and put it on her thin

~Luc’s Point of View~*We’re not basic, fuck stop thinking it,* Dante scolds, as we nibble on Harlow’s ear.*Come on! Tate is a badass fae and wolf both… Rowan is a devil which is about as rare as finding a red wolf. And without my vamp side I’m just… I’m just… a really fucking old guy, lucky enough to still pass as young looking… for now. I could wake up tomorrow and look like a grandpa ready to fall over,* I say, the thoughts bitter.*You’re way overthinking this,* my wolf whines.*On the contrary, you’re not thinking about it enough,* I insist.Dante growls at me, fully making his chest vibrate. Harlow assumes it's for her and she reaches to rake her nails down my leg that’s resting alongside hers. Dante moans anyhow with the touch, not caring why it's happening, and we push our focus back to her.*Get that lube,* Rowan says, over mind-link. I lick my lips and waste no time. My eyes drop to Tate, feasting between our mate’s pussy, and I’m still shocked I’m actually not jealous.Eve

~Hudson’s Point of View~*The visions I’ve gotten of our father through your memories are of him so strong, big and tough. But gentle with our mother and sisters. This… this is not that male,* Harlen says, making a face of confusion in our head. We stare at Harlow sobbing in the arms of a basic skeleton. He’s got some skin holding his bones together but barely. The marring of his skin and the sunken orbs of eyes tell the story of an extremely broken male.I ball my hands into fists to keep from shaking, and shove them into my pockets. I have absolutely nowhere to direct my anger, and had I not also been prey for Caden, I wouldn’t get just how damn impossible it was to get out. For years I had no say, no control over anything in my world. The fact that I no doubt have dozens of pups out there who’ll never know me, never know how they were conceived makes me sick. For a while, he brought me females specifically to impregnate with red wolf babies. To sell.A tear escapes my eye, thinking
