In the middle of the night, my belly protruded while in bed. The clouds, which were casting a shadow inside, were darker than I could imagine. I thought about leaving the room, changing my position to ease the pain. It was hitting me deeply in my veins and was moving around my belly. Suddenly, my eyes kept blinking repeatedly, making the situation more tense. I sighed, fear beating down my shoulders that I found it hard to stand up. It was a pity Angus was still asleep, right beside me. “Hoohm…” I groaned, holding my belly to order. I didn't want to wake Angus at first, but when the pain got to my navel and I couldn't bear it alone, I jabbed his arms and screamed his name, “Angus!” “What is it?” Angus blurted, raising his head instantly from the bed. “My belly hurts!” I grumbled, scraping my foot on the floor to remain stable. “What could that be?” Angus wondered, returning the yawn that wanted to disturb him. “I don't think there is a very good clinic here. Well, let me call Ro

Two years later, I noticed the Arletan wolves suddenly coming out in packs and claiming that any strange families of people would be forced to be under their government. It seemed like I was the only one who took it to observation. I didn't want to disclose it to anyone. Lachie was already a two year old boy, trying to learn how life was in Arleta. Angus had already paid for the construction of a new house to accommodate the three of us. Ever since then, I hadn't felt comfortable. I kept receiving sudden visitations from my ghost mother, and she wouldn't stop appearing to me. The night hurried, drawing dark clouds down and spreading the atmosphere with a gusty wind. There were wolves who had sought to join us and attack Alpha Thane's kingdom, and some of them stood outside watching out for the rogues. I raised my head gently. “I'm having a strange premonition, but I can't really tell…” I stuttered to myself, sliding the window aside, very slowly. “I wonder what could hap

The morning came with chirping birds whose voices overwhelmed the space, filling the air with cool tunes. The entire compound of the house was silenced by their songs, as enchanting as they were. 9am was ticked speedily on the clock. I saw Angus coming out from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his shoulders. “Where to?” I asked curiously, not raising my head. I was deep into my phone surfing the internet to know about ghosts and witches. “Mary needs my attention.” Angus replied, wearing his boots and fastening them immediately. “So, you're dressed like a militant.” I added, grinning at him, my eyes rolling all over his dressing and countenance. “Is there any activity like a battle you're going for?* “No.” Angus responded, “I just have to make sure I'm ready anytime Alpha Thane tries to threaten me.” “I wonder why he framed his own death news and even spread it.” I explained, shaking my head with disgust for the Alpha. “I can't stand the aura here alone.” “Lachie will play w

It dawned on me that the Thane Wrest pack members were no longer satisfied with my existence. I was already known and even considered as possibly the future Luna. Seeing Caelum for advice didn't come to my mind until my ghost mother visited again, appearing more clearly than ever before. I was shocked to a high extent, that I was stiffened. My little Lachie was nowhere to be found, his situation making me feel worse about myself that I started thinking about going to Caelum. If only he could help, I was ready to support him but wouldn't raise a single finger in ovation for Alpha Thane. “Hoohhh…” I breathed heavily, my both hands folded into each other. Months were passing away and disappearing like shreds of paper in the air, accompanied with noises of impending danger and ominous threats. Each night I spent during this time was nothing different from my first years in Arleta, after knowing Angus. I was left alone again to scale through the thick and thin of the horrible situatio

Caelum was instructed to stay with me in the room. I was wounded and seriously injured, since I didn't want to reveal my powers. If it was a rogue who threatened me, I would pounce on such, my abilities being revealed notwithstanding. The time elapsed within a twinkling of an eye and my wounds healed before I could even raise my head. It was getting to the brim, when Alpha Thane wanted to sleep with me, as he kept saying he would devour me, if I didn't concur. My heart was pounding heavily, even though my wounds were all gone. What of the wounds inside? Lachie went missing. Angus wasn't any close to me, neither did he know how to reach me and rescue me from the Thane Wrest pack. Immediately, a thought flickered through my mind, making me sit properly. My eyes crossed Caelum's face straight away, and I turned them away instantly. “Why did you turn your face?” Caelum suddenly asked, ushering me into an unfading amazement. “Why won't I?” I shot back, sighing and rolling my head to p
