Semua Bab Chasing Her Back:The Alpha's Rejected Baby Mama: Bab 21 - Bab 30

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE.JACQUELINE'S POV."I think it's fully covered now," I told Carl and he nodded."Yes, it is."We were already at the dwarfs' territory, and to easily conceal our identities, we changed our clothes to rags and hit the car in the woods, covering it with dry leaves and branches."Why's your hair looking neat?" I questioned Carl and drove my hands into his hair immediately, scattering everything about and pointing each tip to different angles."Now, you're looking like a wanderer," I commented and he chuckled."Let's go."We moved towards a small route and walked through it vertically, making sure that our ears were opened to pick sounds from miles away.We began to hear some sounds like rumbles, and no word could be deciphered from the sounds."I think they didn't speak English." Said Carl to me."Doesn't matter, we'll find someone who can speak English, and if there's none, I'll read their body language and expression to know what's on their minds.""Alright."We cont

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE.ROSALIE'S POV.I was heading to the first person I would be treating after mixing up all my concoction, and I had two guards following me. They had made it clear to me that they were from Jacqueline. He commanded them to be with me throughout the treatment, to be sure I don't poison the people.I said nothing to that, so I just did my thing, trying to ignore their presence and pretend that I was alone.I got into the ward and met the woman looking so numb on the bed, and a healer was in there with her.I took over from her."What's her present condition?" I questioned the healer, tugging my hands into my hand gloves."She is in the last state of the disease, and she can fade away soon." I was told."She won't."I used my face mask and pulled the woman's mouth open. I scooped a spoonful of my concoction into her mouth and held her nose, blocking her nostrils for breath. I also held her mouth shut, and when she couldn't breathe, she swallowed the mixture, and I let

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE.JACQUELINE'S POV.I had successfully seen the little phoenix off to the frozen dungeon, and I headed back to my room to wash off my stress and bloodstain.I was under the shower when Rosalie's foolishness kicked back into my memory, and I felt like pacing to her room to lash out words at her to at least show her how foolish she was.I wanted to. I wanted to go there, but I couldn't. I couldn't find it in me to move over to scold her, though I was very mad at her.Jack would not let me go. He wouldn't want me to scold Rosalie, he was just too overprotective of her recently, and I hated it so much.He was in me, and normally, he should be me, but sadly, he wasn't. We were by no means alike in character whenever Rosalie was involved, and we were supposed to be.He was just stubborn and wouldn't listen to me no matter how much I cautioned him. He loved dancing to her tune like a stupid teenager who was just getting to know his crush.I would have loved to ditch him an

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN.ROSALIE'S POV.I haven't seen more of Jacqueline since yesterday, and I was becoming worried. Though I knew that he was okay, at least, he must be okay since nothing seemed different.Everything was normal, and none of the daily activities in the pack house were left undone. It was in the evening, and I was just done with the last person on my schedule that day. I walked out of the ward and away when I was stopped by Briana.I grumbled, "I thought you were dead or something, for me to have a peaceful day throughout yesterday."She smiled and fixed her short hair behind her ears. "You know, Rosa, you can't ever be free or be peaceful in this castle. Though you know you can go somewhere else to have a peaceful life, the choice is yours.""Alright. I heard you." I replied to her just to get her off my neck and made to walk by her side, but she stopped me. Typical Briana."What?" I dragged the word, silently telling her she was disturbing me."One more thing." She fo

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE.ROSALIE'S POV.We were on a secluded field behind the castle, and I don't think anyone would be able to locate us, maybe except Jacqueline. Carl got our scents covered."First thing first as I told you, you have to know that those people are not just ordinary people, they are lords, some, kings, but even with that, you shouldn't bow to them, you're representing a prominent figure too, a luna, this pack's luna, and you must act like one."You will have to carry yourself gracefully. If you want to greet any of them, give the person your hand for a kiss, and form a small smile on your lips with your eyes strictly locked into their eyes, and mind you, avoid getting lost in their eyes."Some of them are chronic womanizers. They charm women with their eyes. So, I'll advise: anytime you want to greet the leaders, make sure you're holding Jacqueline firmly. If you do, their powers won't work on you, but if possible, Jacqueline is not around at that moment. Don't smile whe
