Lahat ng Kabanata ng Obsession - Love: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

Holy shit, Nicole is going to drive me crazy. If I thought I was paying for my sins earlier, at the beginning of my pregnancy, I had no idea what awaited me in the coming months. What a stubborn woman! If she was already bursting, with a difficult temper, complaining and stubborn, it got much worse. Although I find it funny when she is all disheveled after cursing me quite properly, I worry about the stress she goes through at this point in her pregnancy. I'm afraid she'll be stressed to the point of having a premature birth, for example. But does she listen to me? He doesn't listen to me."Nicole, for God's sake!" It's already two o'clock in the morning, you don't need to look at that again" I complain, seeing her concentrated on the computer screen of the office that she has in our house, her huge belly already seven months old, looking like she has two children growing there. But it's only one, our little girl. Finding out that I was going to be the father of a girl, back in the fi

There's a little doll in my arms that I can't believe is mine. Every minute I have free, I look at it and enjoy the perfect details. Lily was born two weeks ago, a little short of nine months, in the middle of the workday, much to Valentin's dismay. He didn't know if he was fighting with me because he was still working or if he was helping me. It was pure chaos, but it couldn't be different in our relationship.I smooth the delicate face of our little one. The hair is dark, full of curls. The eyes, for now, do not have a defined color, but the shape looks like Valentin's. I don't know who drools over her more, him, me, or our family. Today was a visiting day, and I can hear the laughter downstairs, while I breastfeed the little one in her room so that she doesn't get scared by the excitement."You are my perfection, my love. Knew? I never thought I would love being a mother so much. It's weird to like something that makes me tear my hair out, but being your mommy is th

I'm lying on the mattress, reading Gia Walton's latest release, with tears in my eyes because it's ending and I don't want to say goodbye to the couple, when Valentin appears there, wearing only sweatpants."He slept. I'm getting better and better at it. She sleeps with my voice.""That's because you sing too bad, and she'd rather sleep than hear you go out of tune," I tease, abandoning the Kindle aside because I have much better entertainment here in front of me."Funny." Was she crying? Your nose is red.""Yes, another couple leaving." I point to the device, and the worried expression gives way to a silly smile. "But I love to remind myself that my reality is so much better than theirs."I pull him to me by the rope of his pants, and he positions his body on top of mine. Valentin opens the arrogant and asshole smile that I learned to love because it's my arrogant and asshole smile. It was always mine alone."It's better, hmm?" Do you know

Two weeks later.Today marks two weeks since Nicole and I went on our honeymoon. And these days have been the best of my life. There we both were, lying on the sheets, with the sun's rays beating down on our faces through the windows of the resort we had rented just for the two of us. That's right. We'd rented an entire resort just for us.“My angel...” I run my fingers over her face, trying to wake her up calmly. “Wake up”“No, I don't want to...” she mumbled, throwing the blanket over her face.I laugh a little and pull the sheet back up.“Come on, please. I have a meeting today and it's essential to me that you come with me.”“We're on our honeymoon, it's not a working day.”“It's not working, love, but Oliver lives nearby and I want to see him. I haven't seen my friend for a long time and you said you'd go with me, remember?”“Oliver?”“H

"No, Mom, I told you, love is over, and that's that." I lie, looking into my mother's eyes. The truth is that I want to scream that I've been betrayed, but the shame and humiliation I feel are so overwhelming that I prefer to keep all the pain to myself. My mother crosses her arms and shakes her head, squinting her eyes; she's no fool, but she won't get anything out of me. "All right, Allison! All right! If that's what you want, I can't change it, but you should know that your father and I are disappointed in you. In our family, no one has ever split up, and it hurts my heart to see you leaving behind Stephan, whom I consider a son. Your father is sad and hurt; you know how fond we are of Stephan. You know that his parents are in shock and that your uncles, cousins, and even your sister think you've gone mad. But if that's how you want it, at least dare to face it! Stop hiding in that room and get out there, because the daughter I raised is not the cowardly woman I see in front of m
