*Bradley POV*I added more pressure on my foot, speeding the car to its maximum level not caring if I was going against the traffic rules. My fingers kept clenching around the steering wheel, eyes boring hard at the road. I drove into my penthouse compound in no time, roughly parked the car in the parking lot, and then went into my apartment."Hey, Master Bradley—" I waved off my hand to stop Tessa's greeting, walking towards my room with predatory steps. As soon as I got into my room, I went to grab a bottle of whisky from my mini wine bar, uncorked it, and took a long sip, pulling out my tie rashly."Damn you, Victoria!" I cursed and spat at her picture. "Why can't I get you out of my head, huh? Who the fuck do you think you are to torment me? Why did you even show up again?" I lamented, pulling hard at my hair, and I smashed the bottle of whisky against the portrait of her that was closest to me."You!—" I pointed at another portrait of her and wheeled around at the sound of my doo

*Victoria POV*I have been avoiding Carlos since last night, but it seems I can't escape the weekend morning. Mr. Russo demanded that we all come out for breakfast. It was making me so nervous; I don't think I could bear the way Carlos would be looking at me like some sort of pervert. I don't even know what came over me.I trotted into the dining room, dressed in a simple, flowery gown that wasn't that revealing and settled in flip-flops."Good morning, Grandpa," I gave out a casual smile, going over to him to pay my respects before taking a seat closer to Carlos while Bradley was seated opposite us. I wasn't expecting him."What took you so long?" Carlos turned to me, his voice a bit cold, but he shielded it with a smile. "Sorry love, it was difficult picking an outfit you would love." I winked at him, fidgeting with my gown under the table. The server started to dish food inside a plate for me. "She doesn't eat seafood; remove the shrimp," Bradley's firm order erupted in the air, ma

*Bradley POV*I woke up from my wet dream with a hard-on, the most painful one at that. Damn you, Victoria. My eyes rolled to my wall clock, which made me get off the bed. I have a flight to catch, and I'd also like to drop by the Russo Villa.I took a shower and then dressed up in a charcoal tuxedo suit and a well-polished shoe. I strode in heavy power steps towards a particular drawer, opened it, and pulled out my pistol before tucking it into the back of my waist. I pulled out a dagger and ducked inside the inner pocket of my suit. I squirted a Victoria's Secret perfume all over my body before exiting the room."Hey! You're up, Feeling better now?" Tessa asked, arranging the dining table. "Yeah, but I'm already running late; I will eat breakfast at the Russo Villa instead." I made it known. She frowned her face and pouted, making me let out a soft chuckle. "Thanks for yesterday," I struggled to say, not meeting her eyes. I hate showing people my weakness, cause in our world, weakne

*Victoria POV*"I'm sorry!" He quickly apologized, then picked up the envelope and pulled out a piece of paper that contained numerous data. The data matched the hospital, date, and time of when you were delivered of your baby and the day that same hospital evacuated some dead bodies for burial, but instead of going straight to the cemetery, two black-tinted vans went straight to Gracious Orphanage Home.I blinked multiple times at the information, itching to hear more, and he gave me the exact "Only two babies matched the information you gave to me, a boy and a girl. I don't know which one is yours, but what I can assure you is that, indeed, your instinct was right: your baby is still alive." I felt a chill run down my spine, goosebumps and butterflies circulating in my tummy. I felt joy and hope at Atlas. "But..." My eye shot up at his hesitation, making my heart drum hard, But what? Is there some type of problem?" He took a deep breath before opening his mouth. It's not just a norm

*Victoria POV*My weak eyelid slowly lifted, only to see Carlos's head resting on top of my hand, thereby keeping it mobile. I tried to lift my body from the soft mattress, my brow creased in confusion; the last memory I had was when I blanked out when Carlos was choking me. How I got into his room, I don't know."Wa...ter," I called out, my voice muffled— tapping gently at his arm, he released his body from the bed, his groggily grey eyes adjusted to me fully before he realized my request. He stood up and went to get a glass of water for me. He leaned forward and fed it to me."Thank you," I spoke out after he took the cup away from my mouth. "How did we get home?" I questioned. He looked away and then dropped the cup on the bedside."Rob...um...Rob!" He fumbled, rubbing his palms against each other, producing a sharp sound. Is he trying to harm himself?"Hey! It's fine; I understood." I muttered."How is your hand injury?" I pointed at it; he gazed down and gave a nod and still mout
