He didn't expect to see her again, an encounter that ignited his love and desires for her; She didn't expect to meet him sooner —an encounter that ignited her hunger for revenge and a twisted desire. ****** He pushed me against the wall, "End the contract with my boss! You are playing with fire Victoria!" He roars. I remain unfazed; this is just the tip of the iceberg, and there is more to come. How I wish he could read the handwriting on the wall, he should be more scared of me, not his boss. "Dear ex-husband, are you jealous that I'm with your boss or is it something else?" I challenge him, a mysterious smile playing on the tip of my lips. His eyes blaze with fury, swiftly pinning me against the wall, his breath fanning my ear, sending shockwaves of pleasure despite the situation. "You know nothing; if you are aiming for revenge, then do it openly!" My gaze meets his, "You don't know what is coming for you, Brad; it is far more than you can fathom."I gave him a sinister smile which made him go crazy. "Fine, I admit I was wrong; I shouldn't have done that to you; I shouldn't have abandoned our love and made you sign those papers, but I did that for you!" Came his outburst. "I...I did that to protect you... because I love you... because I don't want to lose you." He cupped my face tenderly, his hands shaking against my skin; I stood still, dumbfounded. "protection from what?" I choked at my question because I knew whatever the reason may be, it might already be too late. This has gone beyond love—the thirst for revenge and duty is at stake now. Will love be given a chance again?

"VICTORIA, COME TO THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW! The text message gave out an urgent order. I slide out of the cab with the gift box in my hands. I was so excited; I would get to see my husband again after being away for over a month due to a contract deal. I believe he too, couldn't wait to see me as well that's why he sent that message. "Bradley, "I called out with much enthusiasm, dancing on my toes as I walked past the foyer of our small bungalow house. "Welcome honey!" I rushed to give him a hug, kissing him all over his face. I pulled away with a creased eyebrow when he didn't reciprocate. His behavior was strange; the Bradley I know would have been all over me; he would even try to make out with me immediately, so what's wrong? "Honey, what's the matter?" I inquired, keeping the gift box aside before turning to face him. He stepped away from me and dropped the glass of red wine that was in his hand; his expression was stoic and unreadable. It was when he stepped away further that I realized two parked traveling boxes were resting on the body of the couch in our sitting room. These aren't the boxes he traveled with; what's going on? "Go over to the dining table, there is a document there, I need you to sign it." came his distant tone. "Document?" My brows furrowed in confusion, but still, I trolled over to the table. The piece of the document was lying on top of the dining table, I picked it up, thinking maybe it was about his contract deal, but my eyes bulged out when I saw the headline of the document, "Divorce agreement." My body instantly began to shake. " This isn't true; it can't be true!" I mumbled to myself, cleaning my eyes with my blouse but still the words didn't change. "Sign it, Victoria, and you have less than a week to vacate this apartment; it's sold out." His vile tone cut through the atmosphere making my heart clenched. I turn to face him, not believing my ears, "You are joking right?... It's a prank right?" I advanced closer to him, my whole body shivering in fear of the unknown. There is just no way Bradley will do this to me; he loves me, and I love him; we have been lovey-dovey since our high school days, my first love, my husband. "Does it look like a joke, sign the god-damned thing!" He barked out, making me flinched backward but still, I choose not to back down. "Honey, what have I done? We can talk this out." I plead, tears swirling in my eyelids. "Don't allow anything to get between both of us, please; you were happy—we were happy agreeing to this marriage, so what changed?" "Well, I realize I'm no longer happy being married to you; this marriage is nothing but bad luck; it has nothing to offer me." He blunts out. His words pierce through my chest like a sharp dagger, shredding every piece of my soul. "No, this isn't my Bradley, my Bradley won't say this to me!" I yelled out, gripping my head and shaking it as a sign of disapproval. He gripped my chin fiercely, tilting it up so that I could look at him directly in the face; I shivered when my hazel eyes met that of his cold brown ones. "Yes, Your Bradley is gone, now be a good girl and sign the divorce paper." He ordered. "No, we can't end up like this, I can't give up on our love." I shake my head, proving stubborn. "Victoria don't test my patience!" He gritted his teeth, eyes turning bloodshot, which made me take a step further away from him. "Sign it." He approached with predatory steps while I scurried away further. "Bradley, please don't do this to us!" "There's no US!" "Bradley, I know you are just scared; marriage can be overwhelming sometimes, but no problem, we will get through this together. In fact, we will be having—" He cut me off by grabbing my hair hard, dragging me towards where the divorce paper has fallen. There is nothing like having; we can't have a happily ever after. He completed my statement, which he obviously misunderstood. I wanted to inform him that I was pregnant. "Argh! Bradley, please," I cried out, gripping his hand so that he would free his strong grip on my hair, but it was futile. "Sign it! He screeched, tugging on it hard and bending my head forward at the same time. "Ok... okay!" I screamed out, feeling like my brain was about to be extracted from my skull. I scrambled the document closer to myself, picked up the pen as well with shaking hands. My eyes were blurry due to the tremendous tears, yet it didn't prevent me from signing it; I signed the document, and Bradley pulled away from me, grabbing it away from my hands. "Good girl," he commented, releasing me, and I fell to the ground, crying vigorously in pain. "Bradley, please don't leave me!" I begged, forgetting the physical pain; my emotional pain was far worse than it. I have no family to go to; my parents are dead; it's only Bradley I have as a family, and I can't stand the fact that I'm losing him as well. "As I said earlier, you have less than one week to vacate this house; I have already sold it out, "He stated, taking the two traveling boxes into his hands. "Bradley, please don't do this to me; what have I done wrong!" I lifted myself from the floor, racing to hold him, but before I could get to him, he had already exited the house, and the door shut directly in my face. "WHY!?"I slide down the door, totally breaking down, my worlds shattered all in one night, I lost my parents—now I have lost the only man I love. My only question is," WHY!?"*Victoria POV*Adrenaline of anger washed through my body while I walked to the bedroom. I need no one to tell me what Carlos had been doing inside. I wanted to ask for a favour but realised it's not worth it; I should stay far clear from him. I took time to dress so much for him this morning he didn't even bat an eye, but when it got to his gay whore, he unleashed all his time and energy. What made me even more furious was Bradley. Was he thinking I'm a dumb woman? Trying to hide the shitty thing his boss was doing behind closed doors, he was really stupid to think I'm a fool.I bet he is so happy, laughing at my predicament. All this was supposed to be a revenge to make him suffer for hurting me, for betraying our love, yet it was looking like it was backfiring on me. How can I call this revenge when he is the one getting the upper hand? I need to get Carlos all to myself; that's the only way to tear a flesh out of Bradley. I stormed into my room; my eyes wandered to the shelf locat
*Bradley POV*I had to take a shower again after breakfast; Victoria's stunt made me suffer such a terrible hard-on, and the fact that I haven't gotten laid since she came back into my life was adding to my issues. Not like I can't—just that it seems like cheating to me.I was heading to Carlos's office; from there, we will be going to each of the operation sections that were under the management of the three underbosses for inspection. I had another twenty-four hours to provide Carlos with the name of the traitor, which I will execute with Ted tonight.I gave the door of his office a soft knock but got no response in return; instead, a loud moan tore out of the throat of a man, followed by Carlos groans. He was at it again—fucking so early? It was very unusual of him, especially when he knew we had a lot of things to take care of, but should I blame the young man? I bet Victoria affected every one of us at the dining table—not just me and Carlos but the soldiers as well.I backed the
* Victoria POV*The opening of the door snapped me out of my thoughts; I glanced at the beachside one last time and could no longer see Bradley before I turned my full attention to the figure advancing through the door."You're awake!" He sounded shocked but quickly brushed that look from his face."Where were you last night?" I felt shocked when I asked that kind of question: what was my business about what my boss was using his time for?"Hmm....I...I mean, you shouldn't be seen avoiding your room; your subjects might start to get suspicious." I stuttered, trying to drive meaning to what I couldn't even wrap my head around."Yeah." He simply said, trotting with powerful steps into the bathroom, and I scoffed at that action. I bet he went to get laid with one of his gay whores; that's why he is rushing to get into the bathroom like a husband caught cheating with a very disgusting mistress. The thought of him getting laid made my eyes blazed out for an unknown reason. He came out of i
* Victoria POV*I didn't know when I dozed off last night while checking the room out. I lifted myself from the bed and glanced at the other side of the mattress that Carlos was supposed to sleep on; it wasn't rumpled—it was untouched. That simply means he didn't sleep in this room. Where is he? Did Tessa lie to me?I slide off the bed, knotting my nightie garment; my eyes wandered outside the window, and I was shocked to see the vast island. I wasn't expecting this vicinity to be capable of having a beach. I strolled closer to the window, peering out to take the full view of the place. I looked to my left, and my body stiffened at who I saw—Bradley.I watched him jogging along the beachside, the morning ray shining up on his flexing muscles that looked so alluring. If not for my dignity and my ego, I would have walked to him, grabbed him, and pulled him to bed with me. I badly want that body writhing on top of me while he fills me with his cum. It's been long since I felt like a real
*Bradley POV*I trotted towards Carlos's office ground, where he usually hosts gang meetings; he said he needed a few minutes before the meeting started, but I was going to invade that because he needed to know something before the meeting began and, if possible, to answer the questions to the looks in his eyes a while ago when he saw me greet his woman—no, greet Vikky in that manner.Nevertheless, I don't regret what I did; I thought I could sort this out without selling myself openly, but when I saw her, I almost fucking fell to my knees. All my restraint to wanting to love her from the shadows broke. I planned to be a stalker lover, hiding behind shadows while I loved her the way I wanted. I was succeeding so far; I had men reporting to me about her well-being, taking pictures for me to see how beautiful she looked every day, and even going as far as sending anonymous messages and flowers, but it seemed that tactics would no longer work. I think I should learn from that little boy—
* Victoria POV*The ringing of the bell and chattering of people woke me up. I rose up from Carlos's lap, peering straight out of the window at the people walking across the street of Rome."Sorry that I slept off. How close are we?" I turned to face him. "Very close, he murmured, not averting his gaze from his phone. I leveled myself on the seat properly; my eyes wandered to the front and brushed across Tessa, who was stealing gazes at me. When we were on the plane, she kept doing that, which I noticed before I dozed off.The Mercedes Benz pulled to a halt in front of a deserted building. Carlos stepped out, followed by Tessa. I was reluctant to do so because of the vicinity, because what the hell could we be doing in such an environment? What happened to the beautiful houses we passed by? Aren't humans the ones living there?"Are you planning to spend an eternity there?" Carlos growled at me; I gave him a dumb look before saying, "Don't tell me this is our final destination?" He sim
