~Merina's POV ~ I had a mild headache upon waking, but it wasn't anything to worry about. I awoke to the feeling of a hand gripping my waist. I was startled and jumped. I recalled all that happened between us the previous night. My face flushed. I was shocked to see that I'd shared my most vulnerable thoughts with him. ~Adams Pov~I hit the phone on the table with a loud thud, making Merina jump. I rubbed my face, feeling a headache coming on. My mom was the one on the phone. My secretary announced to me that she was waiting for me downstairs and needed to see me. Of all days, she had to choose today to visit. I didn't want her to meet Merina. ~Adam Pov~ I didn't wait to hear her response and left her room after dropping my words but I heard her whisper, “Yes, you are Adams Nart…” I got into my car and asked the driver to drive off. ~Merina Pov~I didn't find it boring sitting alone in the quiet room. I am used to being alone so I find it normal.
