SELENA’S POV:FEW WEEKS LATER:“I just want to go back on my vacation.” I whined to Olivia who was seated in front of me and she couldn’t help but laugh while sipping out of her drink. It had been a few weeks since after the short, blissful vacation at Morris Island and I think I had overheard Henry talking about purchasing it. It was a huge investment and it was a small island but perfect. Everything about it from atmosphere, to the meals, to the water, I was totally in love and I totally understood why Henry was so in love with it too. He saw the frown on my face when we were leaving, and he promised we would be back soon and hopefully longer but he didn’t mention any further thing about the buying of it. In the private jet, I had made a joke about being pregnant because of how we had sex in all corners of the house and the flashbacks of Henry covering my mouth, in order not to moan loudly and wake up Hailey, while sliding into me very slowly and other times roughly, played in mind

SELENA’S POV:THREE DAYS LATER:After a very crazy day, days ago, Henry and I had been really occupied work and it was so bad that when I arrived back home, he was always passed out on the couch after waiting for me or I was the one falling asleep in the home office with the documents on my face while he would return home and carry me up to the room. Nanny Solidat had just told me how she watched with so much pride as Henry with his tired eyes carried me up the stairs and she had given him a thumbs up making him force a smile. It was insane that I had no idea all that was even happening.Today, Henry was meeting with a few shareholders who had heard of the complaint presented before the company about the e-waste and the investors as well as board members feared another lawsuit being brought before them. So today’s meeting was essentially to discuss them and there was an entire presentation on eco-friendly materials and an entire gadget that was created to serve as an example. Henry’s

3RD POV:LATER THAT EVENING:“I assure you, Selena, and I swear on my life that I am not cheating on Olivia. She's the love of my life, why would I ever want to hurt her?” Ace assured Selena as she spoke to him over the phone as she was seated in the car after discussing with Joey and listening to Liv cry over the phone. She was honestly so worried about Liv, so much so that she was about to share with her that the reason Ace had been so preoccupied was because he was preparing to propose but she and Ace made a plan instead. Selena was to call Olivia and tell her that she discovered where Ace had been spending time at and Olivia who loved to catch a cheating partner red handed would hastily drive down there especially since she was not speaking to Ace right now. So contrary to her plans, the receptionist would direct her to the garden where Ace had been supervising the entire decoration. The plan was already in motion as Selena had already sent her the location of the hotel called Tu

3RD POV:THAT SAME DAY:“What the hell?” Henry hopped out of his car in haste with his eyes glued to the scene before him. He was in utter disbelief as he walked towards them with anger fueling his every step, and even with the noises being made, all he could hear was nothing except his heart pounding.Right in front of him stood Selena, Mr Zee and David. David looked at Selena with fury while Selena held onto her arm which she was sure had a bruise with the way he grabbed her arm aggressively. But just as he grabbed her arm, she kicked him in the genitals making him loosen his grip on her and fall back and while he was still wincing in pain, Mr Zee punched him making him groan and fall to the ground but he quickly brought out a pocket knife threatening them with it. Just then came Henry’s arrival as well as the extra security guards Mr Zee requested for.“What’s going on here? Are you okay?” He looked at Selena and tried to grab her hands but she winced and Henry didn’t take that lig

3RD POV:FEW DAYS LATER:“I’m really sick of this. Every single time you’re getting yourself in some type of trouble.” Sandra let out an exasperated breath, tossing the key into the bowl. After two days, David was released as the security officers at the hotel thought it would be best to call the police, therefore he was arrested for assault and Selena’s bruise was brought in as evidence. His lawyers, as employed by Sandra, met up with Selena and Henry, and after so much persuasion they agreed that they would draw up documents for the restraining order but rejected any form of damages. Henry simply said, “He should keep all that coins he has left because if he dares to come near my wife and tries to touch her. His entire family will not just be scraped of every single dime but they will be dealt with my way. And trust me, that is not a good thing neither is not a threat but an assurance.” He held eye contact with the lawyer so much so that she shivered after he was done speaking.
