11.Regina's POVI didn't hear him well. "Sorry?""Boyfriend?" Mike asked but neither of us paid him any attention. My attention was on Nicholas and his on mine."You don't actually mean this, do you?" I asked, obsessively waiting for his response."The part where I'm going to punish him and his mother, certainly. I warned her." Nicholas said proudly. Mike was still watching closely, waiting for a better explanation."Wait, miss Regina used to be romantically involved with Daniel Ellison? And why would he threaten you, Nick?" Finally, Mike asked all his questions."It's nothing. I'm sure Dan didn't mean to threaten you. He's just really stupid." I found myself defending Dan. It was possible I was dealing with a mafia lord right now, or a drug dealer. Nicholas wasn't who he appeared to be."It doesn't matter. He's going to get what's coming to him." Nicholas said in his usual casual tone."Here, let's change topics." My brows arched up as Mike handed me a golden card. Everything inscri

Regina's POV"What? Punish me for what exactly?" I demanded. Rita looked at me pitifully but Mary, that cold bitch! She was just taking Kimberly's side all through. And initially, Kim and I were supposed to be best friends. Rita and Mary joined the clique many months later. "I hope you realize that you haven't started to suffer just yet, huh? This is only the beginning. I hope you cried your eyes to bed when you found out you were removed from the group, haha!" Mary mocked me. "The suffering has only just begun.""I'm sorry, but for your actions, you deserve to be lonely forever if you don't stop flirting with Kimberly's boyfriend!" Rita chipped in, though still sounding as respectful as possible. "What! Are you fools losing your minds!? Dan is my boyfriend, we all know this." I tried to defend myself. "Kim and Dan have been seeing each other since...since forever! Just when Kimberly was about to propose her feelings for him, you snatched him away." Rita snapped. My expression had

Regina's POVOnce home, I began to ask myself if I was still the same Regina or I was some celebrity! Was it because of the fact that I heard Nicholas call me by my real name for once, or when I was busy convincing him there was no need for him to save me because I was fine. Or now, when I was brought home with a free ride accompanied by at least five attendants who escorted me home to carry all of the items I shopped! The stuff I'd gotten were enough to sustain me all through the year! I mean from jewelries to professional outfits and party wears, down to shoes and sneakers and then bags. All very expensive! I definitely felt like a celebrity right now. I said my goodbyes to them after they had carried all the items I shopped for. Once inside, bags of items filled the whole room. I was thinking of how to begin unpacking when I heard a knock on the door. A slender fine lady was outside smiling as I opened the door."My name is Sofia Francisa and I'm your stylist for tonight's party

Regina's POVThe way his eyes glared at mine, Nicholas had a million things running through his mind. I just didn't understand why I had to become part of it!Did he hate me that much? Those seductive eyes were always cold everytime he stared at me, and he had been doing that a lot since I arrived! I tried so hard to ignore him and focus on Mike, who was much more sweeter and nicer to me, still, Nicholas would not even let me do that in peace. Now, it was getting too much. I couldn't keep my cool anymore. The funny thing was that being the Chief finance offer and me being the finance manager, there wasn't much difference between us! It wasn't like he was the managing director or anything, so why did he intimidated me so much like that?"Mr Nicholas?" my voice came out low and slightly muffled. His expression hardened. "I would really love to understand something please." I said quietly and certainly as respectful as I could. "Fire away." was all he could respond with. I swallowed h

Regina's POVWe were finally led to a seat in the middle role, only because Nicholas had mentioned he didn't want to sit in the front. Some important guests, personnel I only used to read about on social media were here, handing me a handshake like I was a goddess!A tall huge man came forward to meet us, smiling very cheerfully. "Hello sirs, hi madam?"With utmost calmness, Nicholas said to the man. "Royce, nice to see you again." Mike joined in with a charming smile. "This is miss Regina, the one we told you about." Carefully, the man turned to face me and I felt my chest beating so fast. It was like he was studying me to see if I qualified for something or not. Then almost immediately, came that smile again. "Madam Regina! It is an honor meeting with you now. I've been enthused, waiting to officially meet you in person."I would have gave a bow with the way I felt honored being introduced like that, but I tried too, to compose my cool. "The pleasure is all mine." I said at last.
