Chapter 21

Emma's POVI was preparing to leave the house for some grocery shopping when I heard the sound of a car arriving at my father's house. For the past one month, I had been at home, trying to beg Alpha Benson for forgiveness and to win his trust by becoming the new Luna. But he doesn't want to see me or hear me out.Right now, I had lost my job as the Luna, and I wasn't being paid again. So I had to find a new job, which I haven't considered yet, because I still had some old savings from my former paycheck as the Luna of the Crescent Moon Pack.I moved over to my room window to peer out at the surroundings, and my eyes lit up when I saw Dr. Chris get out of his black car.I couldn't explain when I fled the top floor and ran downstairs to find him. I assumed he came here to present the test results to my family. And I was sure that Alpha Benson was the father of my child, as I was still a virgin before I met him. But after my 18th birthday night, I couldn't explain the spirit that possess

Chapter 22

Alpha Benson; "What are you doing here?" I asked Emma angrily as I was surprised to see her in front of my father's house. "I came to see you, Alpha. Please, can you give me a chance?" She begged me, and I looked at her face angrily, not knowing why she was testing my patience. I got out of my car, and she stumbled backward, taking some steps away from me as I neared her. "Emma, how many times must I warn you to keep off? Do you want me to kill you?!" I grasped her neck, knowing that it was because of her that I had this growing hatred for women. "Alpha," Emma choked, crying, and I pushed her off to the ground and turned my back on her. "Leave and stay away. If you come near me again, I will deal with you." "But Benson, you saw the test result. You are my first, and I never cheated on you before Celine's birth. Please forgive me," Emma knelt and tried to crawl to my feet to beg me. I knew that I was the first man in her life, but that doesn't change the fact that she disrespect

Chapter 23

Mallory's POV; I finished drying my hair in the room, and I was feeling so famished, and that was because I was pregnant. I thought about Alpha Benson and how he had almost wanted to reject me. Why would the moon goddess mate me to a man who doesn't like me? He seemed like he had a mate before. I didn't know, and I wished Nurse Elena was here to answer all the questions that I have about their alpha. But I have been restricted, and this place was a little far away from the pack hospital where Nurse Elena worked. A knock on my room door interrupted my thought as I wanted to move over to the window to peer out at the surrounding and the large farmland that was surrounding this building. "Who is there?" I went to the door to find out and pulled it open, and I met a young woman's gaze. She was brown-skinned, wearing a tight blue dress that popped up her boobs and revealed her cleavage. "Oh my! Are you the new person brought in here?" She asked me with wide yellow eyes. And I would ad

Chapter 24

Mallory's POV I went to the chair in the room and sat down just after I was done locking up my door. I opened the covered food, and my gaze dropped. "What do these pack members take me for! Just two slices of bread as my dinner?!" I was angry. Even when I was in my father's mansion, I hadn't been given two slices of bread, even as a form of punishment. I felt like throwing the bread away as I growled so loudly, and it was enough to shake the whole building. I wouldn't even care if the building collapsed as I was enraged. I had to fend for myself and my unborn triplets, and this was torture. "Argrhh?" I growled, a primal instinct urging me to shift and to go for hunting on my own. I hadn't gone for hunting before, even though my former pack members derived joy in doing that. But knowing that I was pregnant, I couldn't listen to the instinct to go for hunting and to find a food source to feed on. I looked at the two slices of bread that were neatly kept on the flat breakable p

Chapter 25

Alpha Benson; "Benson! Benson! Are you happy now?!" My mother's loud voice reached my eardrum as I felt a sharp pain in my heart. "What's it, Mom?" I asked her as I got out of my closet and came into my room to meet her. My daughter Celine was sound asleep on the bed, and Mom said, "Emma committed suicide in the forest, and she was found on time and taken to the pack hospital." "What?!" I exclaimed as I hadn't expected Emma to be serious about her suicide attempt. "Are you happy now? I told you to forgive Emma! But, you refused," Mom yelled, glaring at me like I am the one who had killed Emma. "Mom, I didn't ask Emma to commit any suicide. I didn't do anything wrong to her, and you shouldn't wake Celine from her peaceful sleep." I quickly donned my black shirt and fled my room. As I got out, I met my father on the first floor. "What's going on, Benson? I heard your mother's loud voice?" Dad queried me, but I told him, "No time to explain, Dad. I will be back." I swiftly got out

Chapter 26

Alpha Benson; I drove my car ahead to the place where the newly joined pack members were accommodated. It wasn't a hotel, but a building we had built for the new members from other werewolf packs. As I arrived there in the late night hour, surrounded by darkness, I pulled my car to a stop in front of the building, and the guards welcomed me. "Welcome, Alpha Benson," the two guards present bowed and greeted me. "Thank you. How is the patrol at night here?" I asked them after getting out of my car and approaching the gate. "It's fine, Alpha. Are you here to take a look at the farmlands?" One of the guards asked, and I recalled what had brought me here. The guards wore black security uniforms to identify themselves. "Well, not really. I came here for other purposes. Where is the lady in charge?" I asked one of the two security men, and he spoke, "I already mind-linked with Madam Paulina. She will be here soon." "Alright." I walked ahead into the building, the scent of werewolves

Chapter 27

Alpha Benson; As I arrived home, I met my parents in the front of the building, standing there and discussing. I drove my car into the premises and parked it. As I got out and stood in the palace grounds, I marched up to meet my parents, and my mother looked hurt and glanced away from me. "Good evening, Dad and Mom," I greeted them, and my father responded, "Where are you coming from, Benson? We thought you went to check on Emma, as we got the news that she committed suicide but was rescued on time. However, we are just coming from the pack hospital and didn't spot you there." "That's right, father. I went for a patrol," I said, and my father looked at me and sighed. "That's fine. I hope there are no dangers in the pack?" He asked, a look of concern on his face. "No dangers. I just went to the house to check on the new members that will be working on the farmlands," I said. "That's fine... and how about Emma? Are you going to forgive her and take her back as your mate again? The

Chapter 28

Mallory's POV;I caught that lovely scent of wild mushrooms as the night wind blew the scent into my room on the second floor of this magnificent house that was used to keep both their new pack members and farmers.Moving away from the small bed in the room, I rushed over to the window to see who it was. As Selena whispered to me, "Our mate is here.""Benson," I called his name, knowing that I didn't have access to this pack mindlink as I was still a new member here. And not like I was born and brought up in this pack.As I peered out the window, I was met with darkness and the vast farmlands ahead. I couldn't see the front and the gate that lead into this building, and I sighed and moved back to the bed to sleep.Knowing that Alpha Benson was here, I wondered what had brought him here.Did he come here to see me? Did he miss me? Was he concerned about me?I didn't know, and neither did Selena."Maybe he came to check on us," Selena excitedly told me, but I rolled my eyes in doubt and

Chapter 29

Mallory's POV;"No, Selena. Do you want the warriors to gun us down and think that I am a rogue? If you watch, I think the other newcomers like me are also using their hands. So let me do this. I can work on it," I ignored Selena's offer to help me work on the farm."Mallory, you will be exhausted by the time you take down all these weeds. Let me do it," Selena offered help, but I strongly refused."No!" I growled, and the wind blew a loud dust and cleared some grasses on the ground. The warrior yelled, "Who did that?"Everyone turned to look at me, but I lowered my face and avoided responding to the warrior who was ordered to monitor us."I asked who growled out loud now and cleared the grasses away?" The warrior marched up to meet us, and everyone shifted back, leaving just me."You! You cannot speak, can't you." The guard raised his whip to flog me, but a cold voice stopped him."Let her go."Everyone turned to look at the front of the two-story building, and there stood Alpha Bens

Chapter 30

Alpha Benson:I stood watching Mallory run ahead with her colleague, and I wondered where she was running to. I wanted to go after her, but I recalled that there was a stream ahead after the farm lands. "I have to get going now," I told Titus and walked away from the field. Madam Paulina came to find me."Alpha, are you going now?" Madam Paulina asked, and I told her, "Yes."She was dressed in a brown gown, and I informed her, "I have already sent 2 million cash to the workers account for feeding this month, and to ensure that they are well fed. I wouldn't want the news to spread out that my workers are starving instead of feeding well.""Alright, Alpha. Thank you so much," Madam Paulina had a bright smile on her face, and I marched away to my car to head back to my office."Alpha," Beta Dennis reached out to me through our mindlink."Emma is already awake at the pack hospital, and she is requesting to meet you," Beta Dennis said, and my fist clenched."Why does Emma want to see me?
