As we traveled upstairs towards the second level, the hallways were dark and empty, each person had either taken refuge downstairs or were in the basement hiding out the battle. My mind focused on one thing, getting to Max’s room. He unlike Alban, liked to stay in the pack house, he said it was because he didn’t have the urge to move out until he started a family but deep down I knew, he felt as though he had even more power over his pack members even while they were sleeping. So, when the double doors of his bedroom right at the very end of the hall came into the view, the bright lights from his bedroom illuminated his doorframe.
