Lahat ng Kabanata ng Divorced To Steal His Heart : Kabanata 181 - Kabanata 190

… Theo’s POV.I returned home to the usual emptiness. The servants had long retired to their quarters, the bodyguards were outside, and a cold dinner was waiting for me on the dining table. My thoughts traveled to several weeks ago. Although Dave wasn’t a noisy boy, his presence made the house more alive. He would follow me to the company. We would always eat together. Despite his harsh remarks, I never got bored of his company. Sigh! That evil woman, Olivia. She would do anything to separate me from my son. Because my grandfather favored her, she’d use every opportunity to turn him against me. Including my own son…Strangely, I’m not a bit satisfied despite what happened today. The best way to insult someone is to demean what makes them proud. Still, provoking Olivia wasn’t satisfying enough. Besides, that thick-skinned woman didn’t show a single sign of being provoked. As I walked upstairs, my phone rang and I paused.Tania’s name flashed on the screen. Why’s she calling me at

…Olivia’s POV. I arrived at the hospital in a hurry and looked at my wristwatch.Thank goodness I wasn’t late for work, although I’d thought I would be. The Wellingtons’ Mansion was very far from the hospital, and the journey took almost an hour. That’s right. I also don’t know how I woke up and found myself at Grandpa’s place this morning. I could faintly recall that I drove there last night, and because Dave was asleep already, Grandpa and I had some conversations.Whatever we discussed was a blur in my brain. When I sobered up this morning, I couldn’t remember a lot of things that I’d said. That’s why I found it strange when Grandpa apologized to me this morning and assured me that Theo would never disturb me again.“Good morning, Dr. Olivia.”“You’re looking stunning today, Dr. Olivia.”“Dr. Olivia, congratulations once again. Your achievement is a motivation to all of us.”“Did an emergency come up last night? Was that why you left the party? Dr. Ethan returned to the restaur

“If you access this from all angles, it’s actually unfair…”They went on…“Dr. Natasha deserves that position and not that newbie doctor who thinks she’s better than all the rest.”“I heard she’s not a newbie here. She was sent abroad for five years for an important project. That project isn’t grand enough to win her the promotion. The hospital management is being unfair to Dr. Natasha.”“While she was on that project, wasn’t Dr. Natasha saving countless lives in this hospital? Dr. Olivia isn’t the only person who can perform complex surgeries. Didn’t Dr. Natasha just perform the surgery for Theo Wellington’s mother? It hasn’t been long since she performed that complex surgery for his grandfather too. Remember, everyone thought that he would die, and even the media spoke about it. But Dr. Natasha managed to save his life.”“To think that even Theo Wellington was present at that award ceremony despite the rumors yesterday. Something is definitely fishy here. Who exactly is Dr. Olivia?”

“What’s happening to her? What have they done to my Mom?” Tania was sitting next to the bed, holding on tight to the patient’s hand. Her eyes were bloodshot with tears, and she refused to let anyone go near her. “You- Olivia! You did this, right? You wanted to kill Mom! You have come to finish her off- Where the hell is the doctor in charge?”“Ms. Wellington, please calm down. Dr. Olivia has come to save her,” Alisha coaxed her. But Tania stood her ground. She even got up to push us out of the ward, screaming, “Liar! She’s an evil woman. She must have done this to my Mommy! Go and get the original doctor now and take this evil woman away!”Thank goodness the bodyguards were more sensible. One of them stepped forward and grabbed her arm. “Can’t you see the Madam is dying, Young Miss? Please let the doctor do her job.”He didn’t release her and pulled her out of the ward instead, while her screams receded. “If my Mom dies, you’re all gonna pay. Don’t leave her alone with Olivia! You d

“M-Mr. Wellington-” Dr. Natasha gasped and took a step backward, lowering her head. “Th- That’s not what I meant-”“I’ve heard everything you said…” Theo scoffed. “Because my Mother is your patient, you think she belongs only to you, right? Including her life and death.”“Mr. Wellington-”“Dr. Olivia stepped in to help at that critical moment when you decided to play with your job. Instead of being grateful, you’re proving arrogance. I never knew that the staff in this hospital don’t respect senior colleagues.”Dr. Natasha looked pale, and her hands shook nervously as she fidgeted with her lab coat. She stammered, “I am sorry.”“Apology not accepted,” Theo replied. “From now on, Dr. Olivia will look after my Mother. You are not competent enough.”My mouth hung open, the shock causing me to blink rapidly.Am I having hallucinations? This isn’t Theo Wellington, right?Suddenly, I wondered if I’d transmigrated into a parallel universe. Theo would never scold another person on my behalf.
