Semua Bab Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son: Bab 181 - Bab 190

Samantha's POVWe had left Ravenfur Pack and received confirmation of the release of Luna Tamia and my son, Adrian, the moment we arrived at the gates of the Silverbane Pack. I was relieved; we were both relieved. Adrian and Luna Tamia were now in the care of Adams, but the fact that I wasn't physically near my son still bothered me. What was supposed to be a simple mission of finding the cure had turned into something I had not prepared for.We were led to the throne hall by escorts sent by Alpha Thorne, and soon we were standing before him. He was intimidating as ever, sitting on his throne of silver. We greeted him, and I bowed in courtesy. His gaze locked onto mine with an expression full of satisfaction and unhidden joy. What was really going through his mind? Why did he look so happy to see me? Was he that fond of me? A Lycan King?"Welcome home, Samantha," he said, and I squinted, also observing the way Alaric stiffened. We both shared a confused gaze before returning our atten

Samantha's POVThe night moved along with entertainment like you'd never see in any other pack. I dared to say that the Silverbane Pack partied best, and now we were down to my favorite part: the couples' dance.Alaric's hands slid behind my waist, tugging me a little closer than the traditional distance expected of this dance. His hands intertwined with mine while I held his shoulder with my free hand for dance posture and balance. We were lost in each other's eyes, our faces pulling closer as the dance progressed.Sensations crawled through my entire body from his touch on me. Each time his hand moved an inch, the sensation increased; with each tug he made, my breath hitched. I barely coped with his intense gaze."I hate that you're wearing his clothes," Alaric said when he pulled me into his arms after a swirl with a gentle tug that got my heart racing. Our lips had almost collided; only a breath separated them."But you're the one who gets to dance with me," I said, shivering unde

Thorne's POV My men had returned after infiltrating Ravenfur pack with no trace of my mate Irene. So, Samantha was right; Irene had truly abandoned her, but why? Was it the visions?I had kept the secret of Samantha being my daughter because I wanted to see if she found a mate first on the Blue Moon. I wanted to know if Alaric truly was her mate, if he was refusing to mark her for some hidden reason. If she wasn't mated, I’d get to the bottom of it. If Alaric didn't want to make her his luna before his crown was taken away, I certainly wouldn't want him being with her when I revealed she was my daughter. He better have a good explanation, or found a new mate tonight.Today was the day of the Blue Moon. Everyone had gathered at the clearing by the woods; all pack members who had come of age were ready for their first shift, as were the unmated pack members from over the years. The Blue Moon was a great fortune; if anyone missed finding a mate now or within the next three months befo

Samantha’s POV When I saw Alpha Thorne’s claws dig into Alaric, the memory of the faceless man suddenly flashed in my mind. It terrified me that Alpha Thorne could kill him, but I was even more scared to move an inch, because then he would certainly kill Alaric. "Stop! Please!" I cried out, clutching his feet. Somehow, something inside me made me believe he’d listen, but I didn't get to see if I was right. Pain suddenly shot through me, like something was trying to reconfigure my entire system. It wasn't just my bones; it was everything. My organs, every single cell. The agony rippling through my body was unimaginable. This wasn't how my first shift felt; that had been painful, but not to this extent. This pain was primal. It was terrifying. "She’s shifting..." I heard Alaric say, but another terrible jolt shot through me and I wailed. I couldn't hear anyone clearly anymore; I knew people were talking, but I didn't know who. "Go away from the clearing!" Ariana suddenly spoke

Alaric’s POVI had been just behind Alpha Thorne, racing as fast as I could to get to Samantha, but the rogues were swarming and their numbers overwhelming until I lost sight of him. Thorne's men stayed behind to fight some of the rogues. I fought off the rogues that came at me as well while trying to make way to get to Samantha. As if they had received a command to stop fighting, Thorne's men all fled in the direction Samantha was presumed to have gone and just like that, I was left fighting off the rogues on my own.I couldn't help but think that Alpha Thorne must have ordered them through the mindlink to leave me to die, but as long as Samantha would be protected, that was all that mattered to me.As I kept fighting the rogues, I felt a sudden unrest within me, different from my worry for Samantha. Storm was a lot more aggressive now as we fought the rogues. I felt a pull building up gradually in me; I knew I just needed to leave the scene immediately, then it hit me.Her scent.
