Semua Bab Rejected And Disowned Now Claimed By Four Ruthless Alphas: Bab 141 - Bab 150

Maddox’s POVAt first, I try to ignore it. I tell myself it’s just the afterburn of the ritual, the echo of something that’s already passed. But it lingers, coils tight in my chest, in my throat, like a scream that never quite escapes. I feel her before I hear or smell anything. The bond thrums like a low hum behind my ribs, a pulse that belongs to her, and tonight it’s different. It’s not just the heat, it’s panic.Raw and sharp and desperate.Sitting on the edge of the bed, I stare at the floor like it might actually give me some answers to everything, as if I can reason this away. I know I can't, even my wolf stirs restlessly and is pacing inside of me like a caged beast that's scented blood for the first time. He feels it too. Not just the pull of her heat, not just the mating urge that claws at every inch of me. He feels her fear, the desperation building inside of her, and it’s driving him mad. She's never had that feeling, not even before when the Heat was killing her slowly.

Veyra’s POVI stay by the window, unmoving for a long time. The cool glass is pressed against my forehead and is the only thing anchoring me right now. I use it as a distraction from the heat that is growing worse by the second. It's the only part of the world that feels still like it's not trying to create chaos around me.My own reflection stares back at me, she's tired, pale with eyes that are rummed with shadows that won't fade no matter how long I rest. Or maybe, it's the fact my body hasn't relaxed once since I was with the rogues?Rael wasn't wrong, I knew exactly what the rogues were like, which is no doubt why I didn't sleep well with them. It's partly why I'm glad to be staying here, to be able to sleep here. The moonlight outside tonight is almost soft. It feels like it doesn't know what it's supposed to illuminate anymore.Coming back here was part of a plan. That's what I told myself, I came back here with a plan and a purpose. I was going to put an end to the trails, and

Vane’s POVSleep is impossible and I know that it won't come tonight. It's going to be easy to sleep. It's not like I ever slept well anyway, not lately with everything blowing up and becoming destroyed. We're all on edge because we've got no easy answers to give the alphas demanding to know what is happening with Veyra. Tonight is worse though, right now my skin doesn't fit right, it's like my bones are trying to crawl out of me. Every single time that I close my eyes, I feel her again, not just the bond, and not just the pull of her heat. I feel the ache of her absence and the distance that she's keeping from us. There's such a coldness in her silence that it's worrying, it's a coldness I never expected to feel from her. Veyra’s heat is like a pulse inside my head, low and thudding and constant. It makes my body restless, my instincts sharp and irritated. My wolf is pacing the walls of my mind, snarling and snapping at shadows. It wants to go to her. It wants to soothe her, to cla

Rael’s POVEverything around me is falling down, the trials, Veyra, her hate for me for what I did. I get it, I accept it. Sighing, I pace the room, other than apologising I'm not sure what to do to make her see I didn't do it to be malicious more to make her aware the rogues don't care.I hear a low, rumbling growl that curls through the stone corridors like a breath held too long. For a moment, I think I imagined it. I push it out of mind and go back to pacing thinking that maybe it's just the wind clawing through the narrow breaks in the tower walls, or some restless guard pacing too close to this room and not considering how much it will piss us all off.I need something to make her realise I'm sorry, as I consider it, the floor trembles beneath my feet, and the sound grows louder, more violent, and vibrating through the very air with the unmistakable fury of wolves locked in combat. I don’t wait for logic or questions or anyone else’s alarm. I move, fast and without hesitation, b

Rael POVThe dust burns in my lungs as I help Dagen dig through the wreckage that is left. My hands splinter against the broken wood and jagged stone, but I ignore it all. I continue to keep pulling even after my fingers go numb, and I keep moving whatever I can reach. I can hear Dagen's breathing turning shallow beside me, he's kneeling, his shoulders trembling as his mouth works through words that don't seem to want to come out. “Move,” he mutters, over and over. “Move, dammit, move, Lyra.”Together we teat through what's left of the collapsed wall, and each piece that we lift begins to reveal more of the broken body beneath. Lyra's hair is matted with blood and dirt, and her skin beneath the ash is too pale. Her chest is barely rising now, and her lips as parted but no sound is coming out. Dagen lets out a strangled cry when we reach her, a sound so raw it silences the night.“No, no, no—” He slides down beside her, his hands hovering, unsure of where to touch. He wants to help h
