Lahat ng Kabanata ng Her Sweetest Mistake [Dark Er0tica]: Kabanata 241 - Kabanata 250

ROMANO DEVORE:I had brought him straight to my hideout, the shabby place where I held my hostages, where it all began with red. As we stepped in, memories of how tough she was being with me flushed right in and how I had hated her personality before knowing her truly. I took a seat on the bed, a smile forming on my lips, but I had to curb it immediately.Dre took a seat on the wooden chair, his eyes fixed on the shabby rug.“Care to tell me what the fuck is going on Andrew?’ I spoke calmly, but my insides were on fire.“I didn't do it Devore, you taught me that we don't kill the good guys and Montero was one of them, I only completed an assignment, I was scared” he rambled on. He wasn't lying about one thing, we never killed the good guys, irrespective of the boss's orders. When I had met Dre,he was placed under my mentorship, he had been so scared to pull a trigger at all, but I calmed him down by making him understand that the world would be a better place if the bad guys were out

KATHERINE MONTERO:I finally regained balance and jumped off the table to return to my seat, opposite him“Now I can listen to you with a clear head. I'm guessing Dre couldn't deny it?” I asked and he frowned*How did you know I went to see Dre?” he questioned back“I figured that was the place you'd go after what we had watched yesterday. I was only worried that he was going to try and hurt you, but I'm glad you're back now. My question?” “He didn't, but he also didn't do it Katie, he didn't kill your dad” I was confused as hell, we literally saw him stab the man and still be bled out.“That makes no sense Devore, we watched him on the video” I protested.“Yes we did, but we also saw that your dad fell to the ground, convulsing before Dre stepped in, and there's a reasonable explanation for that.”I could see he was struggling to speak to me, barely maintaining eye contact with me like he was hurt, either that or he was about to hurt me.“Then skip the suspense and tell me what rea

ROMANO DEVORE:There was no guarantee that she was going to help Dre and I, and I was going to push for it either. She had been through more than enough, and if she wanted time away from me, or never to see me Again, I respected that. It has been 3 days since I came clean with her, since she had left my home, without looking back and I felt empty, completely incomplete. Before I met her, I had shut out everyone that had come close to me, because I was too scared to let anyone in.And she had brought down all the defence I had built up, leaving me completely helpless, I could barely eat and I was losing sleep.I went into her room, if she had left any cues on where she was headed, but there was nothing. I couldn't reach her by call and the hotel she had lodged in was empty too. I stared at the rumpled sheets of the bed, reminiscing on the sweet love and moment we had shared on her first night here, on that same bed. I could still smell her gentle scent in the room, longing for her t

KATHERINE MONTERO:Amdrew had led me safely into the penthouse and positioned me in front of the door, carefully listening to everything my mum was saying. She wasn't just different from who I had thought but worse. Hearing her confess even to more atrocities than Romano had shared with me had me shattered I didn't need to see her, but her voice hinted that she'd do all of it over and over again if she had to, and they weren't just mistakes made. I pondered on how much pain she had caused a family, especially Romano, just for her selfish interests, and realized that he had been a victim all along.I was supposed to be Romano's insurance, his safety ticket out of that room alive, and as soon as I heard a gun cocking, I knew I had to step in.She had a look of astonishment spread across her face, she hadn't expected the new turn of events. I was trying hard to control the tears that were now drowning my face. I looked at my own mother but couldn't recognize the monster standing in fro

KATHERINE MONTERO:The ceremony was supposed to be a quiet one but my dad had helped a lot of people while he was alive, which made it hard to keep the ceremony small. I slid lazily into a long black dress and tied my hair up, applying really light makeup to hide the fact that I had been losing sleep. I walked to the open grave with the little strength left in me, everyone else seated for the ceremony to begin. I stared into his casket seeing his lifeless body again, as tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to fall off. I reminisced briefly on all the moments we had spent together, how much he always made time for me , moments that were now memories that couldn't be relieved. A sob escaped my throat as I carefully placed the flowers in the casket before mounting the podium to speak.“Today we gathered to celebrate A life well lived. To some of us he was a business partner, a friend, a boss, but to me he was a great father. My dad Declan Montero taught me everything about life, lo
