(RORY’S POV) The pain I felt on the second day was even worse than the first. I planned on staying locked in my room, just like the day before, but my sister Rosalie was not having it. She started knocking softly at my door by ten in the morning. I wanted to ignore her, like I had done last night, but then she said, “I’m going to break the door down if you don’t answer, Rory. Your food tray is still out here, and last night you didn’t even say a word to me.” I could hear the concern and hurt in her voice, and it made me sit up with a sigh. “Hi, Rosalie,” I greeted softly.
