Semua Bab REJECTED, Then Becoming King's Adorable Omega: Bab 21 - Bab 30

DAMON POVThe screeching and cry for help made me stop all I was doing as it echoed throughout the room. It was coming from Celeste's room. One thing about being a Lycan was having an accurate sense of direction. You could be a mile away, and someone would scream, and you'd know where precisely it was coming from. Also, I was aware of it because I knew Hanna’s voice—Celeste’s maid.I shut the book I was looking through, sprinted to the door, and out of the room using my inhumane speed. I got to Celeste's room in record time because the office was only about three minutes away.I didn't need to open the door to see what was happening as it was already opened. My heart pounded, and I remained still as I assessed the situation. Hanna’s head snapped towards me, tears flowing down her cheeks. Likewise, snorts. “She…she,” she sputtered.“Get the doctor,” I simply stated.Looking at her once again, I doubted taking her to the infirmary would make her injury better. She seemed to have lost a

DAMON POV“Do you want me to answer that question? We've been friends for fourteen years, and I thought you knew me well enough to doubt me at times like this. My family allegiance and loyalty has been for you alone.”A derisive snort escaped me. “I knew the royal council well enough until they started to plan behind me, trying to dethrone me.” I shrugged. “I am not saying you are part of them, but I don't want to doubt it. Friends can betray friends.”It was Seth’s turn to snort, “That's a terrible assumption, Damon Valerius.” He stood to his feet and came towards the desk. He took my empty cup of coffee and placed it on the tray alongside his.“I am not such a horrible friend, and if at all I desire to betray or even be against you, I should have done so fourteen years earlier, but not now that we’ve achieved a lot together.” Seth picked up the tray.He began to walk to the door and stopped briefly. Then, curiously, he turned to me.“What about her?”“Who?”“Lysara–”“Seth Armstrong

CELESTE POVI came awake with a jolt, my body drenched. It felt like a bucket filled with water had been tipped over my head.I was in a nightmare. It wasn't a new occurrence for me. It had been happening ever since my father died.I guessed it was his death that triggered it. However, it stopped, and now it was back. Even though I could barely recall what happened in it, the familiar feeling of fear that often clenched around my heart and the dread like something awful was about to happen. Still, I didn't know exactly what it was since I barely knew what I had dreamt about. But I was feeling it now.Pushing a hand through my disheveled, wet hair, I looked around the room to see where I was.I was still in my room. And in my dress, thankfully. However, Damon was long done.My attention shifted to the door as a knock sounded on it. Hanna stepped into the room. She stood by the door, her eyes filled with uncertainty as they locked on mine.I wanted to ask her what the matter was as she

CELESTE POVWhen we entered the room, Sabrina let me go. I looked around to see that a change had been made.About three white candles were lit on a table in the room’s center. Although a coffee table had been present, it wasn't this. Also, no candles had been in the room until now.I furrowed my brows, turning to Sabrina, but suddenly grew dizzy. I stumbled slightly, reaching for the vanity table as I approached it to steady myself.“What is happening?” I asked, searching around the room amidst the haze in my mind to find her. But I couldn't see her anywhere. She was just behind me when we stepped into the room. Where the hell did she go?!“Sabrina?” I called. “Where did you go and what's going on?”I tried to straighten but that got even far worse as a sharp pain pierced through me. I gasped, doubling over.“Sabrina,” once again, I called. But no answer. The pain intensified. It wasn't like anything I had ever felt before. Not even when I was branded like a criminal and humiliated f

DAMON POV“So, I am here. What's new?” Seth announced his presence and casually stepped into the room after testing the barrier on the door.I rolled my eyes. It was not like the barrier would work on him. He was the only one in the whole pack house I trusted my life with, even as I didn't trust anyone with it.He had been only allowed access so he could reach me anytime I was in danger. As for Celeste, I wasn't sure she'd be able to enter the room earlier when I contemplated bringing her in here, but she had. I wondered if it was because I had her with me, hence the reason, or if something else was involved. She hadn't been able to leave either until I told her to. I made a mental note to visit the head witch, Brianna, later to question her about it.“I am here. What do I need to do? Your voice sounded urgent, and I thought you were in danger,” Seth pointed out. He looked around the room before his gaze locked on mine, “But I could barely see any form of danger here except you are th
