Author's POV The meeting room was quiet, filled with murmurs between the share and stake holders. Everyone was seated, waiting for the arrival of two major people. Haynes and his mother. The mother came in first, everyone standing to greet her as she headed to take a seat at the front row. “Your face looks radiant today,” Mr. Quinn said. “Is it because you know that your son has surely gotten your company back in place?” Everyone giggled. Emily turned her gaze to him, and her darkened eyes sent shivers down the spine of most. She wasn't smiling, didn't react to the joke they had cracked the way they had expected. “It would be better if you all keep your lips shut and put them in place until the person we are waiting for arrives” she said in the most polite way ever, though her voice was laced with sarcasm. Emily knew Haynes might never have found a solution to the company, even if he did, she had sold the company. All the shares she possessed had been sold to the most unexpect

Sabrina's POV “Let's celebrate, Rina” I was seated on the dining chair, hands on the table. Luca was standing by the cellar, checking out a wine to pick. When he finally picked one, he returned to me with two glasses. He filled the glasses and handed one over to me. I guess we've finally achieved something” I said. My tone was low, a smile tugging at my lips “Every move we made was an achievement, Sabrina. Not everyone gets to plot revenge against people like him" he said.I smiled, nodding my head. We clinked glasses and I gulped the content of the drink. Luca also did the same. A few more shots and I was tempted to start a conversation, so I did. “When I left, how was it for you?” I asked. Maybe I expected him to be angry, darken his gaze and let me know how much damage I caused him. But the Luca in front of me acted so mature about it. “I felt broken,” he said. His gaze was fixed on a blank space, on the floor, like he was trying to recall that exact moment. “I thought t

Sabrina's POV The night felt long, with Luca sleeping beside me. I was so worn out, and all I knew was that his hand pulled me closer to him all night. But when I woke up, he was nowhere beside me. I checked by touching the side of the bed and realized he wasn't in the room. I cladded myself in one of his shirts and walked downstairs. My body ached from the previous night, but a blush crept up my cheeks when I remembered what he had said. He'd like me to get pregnant for him. I walked downstairs and Luca was cooking in the kitchen like a dutiful husband who'd get coffee to his wife after a night's sex. “Good morning,” I muttered. He noticed me and turned slightly, a smirk curling up his lips seeing me in his shirt that stopped way above my knees. “You should change. I won't want Sam ogling at you when he comes in” he said. I almost laughed. That sounded like he could get jealous if Sam did. This looks more fictional than real. I was having a conversation like this with Luca

Author's POV “Mr. Damien. You have a visitor” A policeman stood in front of Damien, saying to him. Damien had resigned to fate, staying silently locked up in prison as there was no one to get him out. All he could think about was the fact that he'd lost everything. The company…..that was the only thing his foster mother had given him, and the only thing he had. Now, gone. Because of Emily's foolishness. He moved out of the cell with the police officer guiding him to the visitors room where he met the waiting presence of his mother. His gaze squinted. Why the hell was she here?Emily was at the other side, waiting patiently for Haynes to arrive. There was a glass barrier between them, the holes stuck between the glass making it possible for conversation to flow. Haynes took his seat in front of Emily, the metals that cuffed his hand making a sound too loud. “I never thought you would ever visit” he said, more like someone who already knew that he would be spending the rest of
