A weakness that no one can find out.

Damon’s POV“Ugh,” I groaned, tightening my grip on Urmi’s hair as her mouth worked over me. She moaned loudly, trying too hard to sound seductive, as if she affected me.Her eyes flicked up to mine, hazy with lust. I felt nothing. She continued, bobbing her head as she swallowed my penis again and again, but instead of pleasure, I only felt irritation building inside me like static under my skin.I thrust my hips, pushing deeper into her throat, hoping to force some sensation out of this distasteful performance. Still, nothing came. The arousal I had hoped for was already slipping away, like steam vanishing into the air. My body wasn’t responding. My mind was elsewhere.I closed my eyes, trying to focus…but instead, a picture of Sabrina’s face, formed in my head. This was going nowhere.Irritated, I shoved Urmi away. She fell back on her heels, breathless, strands of hair sticking to her flushed face. Confusion bloomed in her wide eyes. Her chest heaved as she stared up at me.“What’

Jealousy?

Sabrina’s POV“Hmmm, I’ll take this one,” Urmi said to the apprentice, pointing to a design in the glossy brochure spread on her crossed legs.I sat silently in the farthest corner of the tailor shop, still in my maid’s uniform, looking every bit like someone who didn’t belong. My posture was stiff, knees together, hands clasped tightly in my lap. I tried not to meet anyone’s gaze, especially not Urmi’s.She had waltzed into the kitchen earlier that morning and asked for me specifically. Nanny Tessa was wary, her brows lifting with suspicion. When she asked why Urmi needed me, Urmi flashed a sweet smile and said she needed help running errands. Tessa was hesitant, but she didn’t argue. I was a servant after all.I was yet to ask Nanny Tessa who Urmi was or why she roamed the house with such entitlement, acting like she owned the place. I told myself I didn’t care, but I did. She seemed close to Alpha Damon and her presence irked me so badly. I did my best to mask it. Now, here we wer

Anne’s Advice

Sabrina’s POVUrmi walled out with the apprentice behind her, a satisfied smile on her face.“Make sure the dress is delivered to the pack house before the sun starts to set tomorrow,” she said. The apprentice bowed, his back bending almost ninety degrees. He murmured a “Yes Luna,” and scurried off.Luna? Was she already making people call her Luna?Urmi turned to me with the same sweet smile she always used with me, like I was a kid she was trying to coo at. “We’re done here.” I nodded and got on my feet. We reached the entrance of the tailor shop when my eyes caught a dress, displayed in a glass case across the room.A stunning ocean-blue gown stood proudly on a mannequin in the corner. The fabric shimmered every time the light hit it, catching my breath in my throat. Tiny diamond-like stones were embedded along the bodice, trailing down the skirt like stars scattered across a twilight sea. It looked like something straight out of a storybook. The hem pooled elegantly at the bottom

Luna’s handmaidens

Sabrina’s POV Nanny Tessa stormed into the kitchen, hollering at the girls, “The ball is today! Quit moping around and get handsy!” The girls scattered, dissolving from their cliques and getting busy. Nanny Tessa moved around the kitchen, huffing and puffing as she stressed over little details. She was worried, but I could tell she was enjoying it. It wasn’t every day we had big events to plan. Today was one of the busiest we’d been since I came to the pack house. A girl walked by, holding a glass bowl with hot water in it. She passed Nanny Tessa, and just as she was about to get by her, the bowl slipped from her hand and fell onto Nanny Tessa’s leg. *** “Nanny!” I screamed, stirring awake. I looked around and found eyes staring at me like I was a weirdo. Nanny Tessa wasn’t anywhere around. I let out a sigh of relief, my hands on my heaving chest. It was a dream. I had fallen asleep on the kitchen counter. I couldn’t get any shut-eye last night, my thoughts filled with

Alpha orders

Sabrina’s POVI sat in the marble tub, the water lapping gently against my skin, stopping just at the high of my breasts. Jasmine petals floated around, some clinging lazily to my collarbones. I was grateful that the water covered my back, and even more grateful that the Luna handmaidens didn’t make any fuss or ask questions about the scars that decorated my back. They pretended it wasn’t there.“You must mean a lot to Alpha Damon,” Denia said, her hand massaging my scalp as she washed my hair. “I’m nothing but someone he bought,” I told her truthfully.I couldn’t see them, but I felt them glance at each other in confusion. I was just as confused as well. “We cannot question the alpha. Either way, we’re happy to be serving someone after years of forced solitude.” Denia smiled. My ears perked up. “You guys have been in the pack house since?” I questioned innocently. “I’ve never seen anyone dressed in such uniforms before.”Denia smiled. “We were born to serve the Luna,” she said li

She’s mine

Damon’s POVThe host turned to the stairs and cleared his throat, then called for silence. “Presenting Alpha Damon, our newest Chairman of the Alpha Council, and his companion for the evening.”All heads turned. The clinking of glasses paused. The music faded slightly, anticipation replacing it. I looked around from the top of the stair case. The hall was packed, just like I wanted it. I descended the grand staircase, Sabrina’s arm locked in with mine. Sabrina looked breathtaking. When I first saw her earlier, it felt like the world had stopped. I didn’t want to admit it, but I felt my heart stop when her hazel eyes landed on me. The way her breath hitched. Was it the sway of her hips as we went down the stairs, or the way her curly styled hair bounced off her shoulders, or the way her eyes scanned the crowd behind her mask…I couldn’t peel my eyes off this girl. She was awakening something primal within me.My wolf clawed beneath my skin, demanding to be let out, wanting nothing mo

Who are you?

Damon’s POVIan and I split up in search of Amaria. I knew she wouldn’t come as herself, she must’ve taken the appearance of someone else in this hall to blend in and reduce suspicion. But her awful energy was something I could never mistake. She always tries to hide her scent, but there’s only so much magic can do. As a pure-blooded vampire, I can still scent her—no matter how much suppressant she uses.I moved through the hall slowly, grinning at every woman who leaned too close, letting them giggle and brush their hands against my arms or chest. Amaria would surely come as a woman. That I was certain of. So I entertained these women and their disgusting touches, trying to sniff out Amaria. They flocked like flies to honey, desperate to be touched, chosen, fucked. I gave each of them a polite nod, a smile, sometimes a chuckle if I got too suspicious. Harlots, I sneered internally. Then, my wolf stirred when we sighted Sabrina approaching us, then he receded to where he came from.

A body

Damon’s POV“You must’ve gotten news already,” Amaria rasped, her voice hoarse from my grip, yet somehow still laced with venom.Amaria cackled, the sound hysterical and unhinged as she rubbed at her bruised throat. “Won’t you run along now?” she sneered, eyes glinting with satisfaction. “Go see if you can catch me?”My jaw ticked. My wolf was pacing violently beneath my skin, barely restrained, howling for retribution. She dared to wear her face, to stroke me with her filthy hands, to mimic Sabrina’s body like it was some plaything.I kept my expression neutral. I knew the person in front of me was Amaria and any other trick she was trying to play, was to set her escape.I chuckled lowly, stepping closer to her until she had to crane her neck to meet my gaze. “You think I care about some lowlife girl like her?” I said, eyes glinting. “You, on the other hand… dealing with you is far more important. You can’t confuse me.”Her face faltered. The moment of realization descended on her.

Help me, Alpha Damon

Sabrina’s POV I stood in shock, hand to my mouth, eyes wide like saucers, as I stared at Alpha Kingston’s lifeless body. His head had burst open, revealing the anatomy of his brain. I turned away, hugging Anne, who looked equally shocked. “By the moon goddess, what the hell happened?” someone asked. “I was outside, someone pushed him! I saw!” a man yelled from the side. Horror stained everyone’s face. Just then, someone yanked me away from Anne. “Sabrina,” my gaze met Alpha Damon’s fearful one. I had never seen such an expression on this stoic man’s face. Alpha Damon looked around, scanning the scene. Ian walked up to him. “What happened here?” he asked Ian, his grip firm on my arm. “It’s Alpha Kingston,” Ian stated. “I think he was pushed.” “Oh heavens,” a woman, who appeared to be a commoner, fainted as she heard Ian. Alpha Damon’s eyes returned to me, roaming over my body as if searching for injuries. I grimaced in pain when his grip on my arm tightened, his nails

Come sit

Sabrina’s POVI stood in shock, staring at the gore that was Luna Dira’s decapitated body.“Now, what were we saying? Who killed Alpha Kingston?” Alpha Damon asked. The Alphas and Lunas all stumbled back in fear.Luna Hale scrambled to her feet and ran behind her husband, who pushed her away. They glared at each other.Ian stepped forward. “We just figured out that the killer was a shapeshifting witch.”The hall gasped collectively.“A witch?”“How did she get in here…”“I didn’t sense an energy shift in the party.”The murmurs increased as everyone simultaneously released a sigh of relief. It was all over. Until it wasn’t.An Alpha stepped forward. “Has she been caught?” he asked directly to Alpha Damon.I recognized him as one of the men who had held my legs while I was enduring their assaults.“I would like to ask you that,” Alpha Damon said, cocking his head. “You all seemed to have caught the culprit already, passing what looked like ‘justice’ on my property.”The Alpha bowed his
