Semua Bab He Chose My Step-Sister and I Chose His Step-father : Bab 31 - Bab 40

Magnus’s POV “While you were having your beauty sleep, my guards were out scouting the area.” “And we found out she made it into the east side of the woods. For the sake of everything you hold dear. Pray I find her in one piece. Not a single scratch or hair out of place. And pray none of your pack members had something to do with her disappearance.”“I freaking told you. It's not me.” My step-son is an open book. I have not been with him in years, but his body language is still the same and now it's communicating that he's clueless, just like I am.But that doesn't mean there isn't someone who doesn't have answers to what is happening. Someone in this pack is holding my Luna hostage and when I find them I will boil and grind their bones while they watch. “It better not..” I sneered but got cut off by one of my guards.“Alpha Magnus. Over here,” His voice carried in the wind. “What did you find?” I asked in a curious tone and a splinter of hope. “There are tracks Alpha. It's not

Talon’s POV I wiped a bead of sweat off my forehead as my shovel hit the dirt with a thud, my arms numbing from pain. I should have burnt his body and spread the ashes on the sea, or left it as fish food in the sea, that way, Magnus would never have proof to show to the pack. He didn't kill me when I ran away from home. Or stole a huge amount of money from his safe. Maybe because he had too much, so I doubt he cared. That amount was but a dent. The man I killed years ago turned out to be his brother? How was that even possible? They don't even have the same surnames. Looked nothing alike. But now that I think about it, I think they have the same eye color. Not that it matters now anyways. He is all bones and dirt six feet underground.I saw a chance to build a name for myself, and I took it. I won’t apologize for it. I also helped put the old man out of his misery. That's a plus. They should be thanking me instead since he was bound to die anyway. My way was faster. Peaceful. It

Magnus’s POV “I should be in there with my wife right now. So spare me the details and go straight to the point.” Adelaide dragged in a deep breath, nodding her head before she raised her eyes to meet mine. “She was pregnant, Alpha Magnus.” Pregnant! The words hit me like a punch to the gut, knocking air out of my lungs. My lips parted, but no words made it out. So I let the words hang between us, basking in the dozen emotions swirling around me.“What…do you mean ‘was’?” I finally found my voice, but it came out shaky.“The pup didn't make it.” She said slowly, her voice betraying sadness.“What!” “Three weeks. She was still in the early stages. There is no way the baby would have made it, especially with the ritual she went through.” My ears shot up as I heard the word, “Ritual?” “There are marks behind her ear lobes. It's not very visible but it's there. Someone carved them into her. They are ancient symbols, one peculiar to only powerful and formidable rituals. The kind of r

Madelyn’s POVMy nerves clawed at my insides, knifing through me like steel on ice. Still, I managed to speak. “Tell me.” I wasn't ready for what he was about to hit me with— true, but it's better I heard it now than later.“Your wolf is a Golden Centurion.” His words were a punch to my throat, knocking the air out of me. My heart dropped to my feet. My hands weakened, releasing my clothes slowly. I’m supposed to be happy that I now have a wolf, right? This is what I wanted since the day the accident happened—a wolf. To be whole. To be normal. To feel powerful like every other person. To not constantly think that I’m not good enough.Only for my wolf to be the golden centurion? The rarest species. I would have preferred the white, who could give me powers to see the dead. Then maybe I would see my father and ask him why he did the things he did. See my mum ask her who killed her. Who slipped poison in her food. But right now…. I preferred it when I was a human. When I was nothing. Or

Cassia’s POV Hot liquid flowed down my cheeks. The more I thought about it the more my heart ached. I had asked Adelaide to leave. I needed to be alone. To think of what I’d done. It's not fair!!Why do people always have to die before I can have anything at all? I have lost everyone. My father. Mother. Aunt. Unborn child. My whole fucking world. No wonder why Magnus looked at me in a way he never has before. I wonder what was going through his mind when he first heard that I must have sacrificed my baby to get a wolf. He must've really hated me and questioned why he even took me as his wife. But still he tried to remain calm and collected the whole time he was with me. I knew something was eating him inside, but I just couldn't wrap my head around what it was.My phone chimed. The screen lit up. I rushed to pick it up, thinking it was Magnus. It wasn't. Just a message from Jasmine. That bitch….I didn't care to read what she wrote. Didn't have the strength in me. I just wanted t
