ISABELLA'S POVI'm seething, with my knees curled up against my chest, my eyes still pinned against the door. Those goddamned painkillers and messed-up meds made me miss him last night, although I was certain I had seen him in a blur while I was asleep. That was why I skipped the meds today, fooled the maids into thinking I took six pieces, watching them leave.
