Aurelia's point of viewThe packhouse had never felt so big and so empty. Silas had been gone for less than a day, and already the air felt heavier, like the walls themselves were holding their breath. I couldn’t breathe right either, not since he and Dalton left on their little mission to find Roderick. They’d left without much more than a glance back at me, both of them carrying the kind of grim determination that made it clear: they wouldn’t be returning until they found him.And me? I’d been left behind like a treasured porcelain figurine in this doll house; pretty, delicate, and set safely out of reach of trouble.Xander was doing his very best to live up to Silas’s orders to “keep an eye on her at all times,” which I think he’d interpreted as “stick to her like a second skin and ask an endless string of questions.”“Madam Luna, do you need anything with cooking stuff?” he asked suddenly, popping his head into my chamber like a curious pup.I raised a brow at him from my chair. “

Silas's point of viewThe chamber gates creaked open, their rusted hinges screaming as though they, too, hated what waited inside. The stench hit me first with feral musk and coppery blood, thick enough to scorch my lungs. My wolf snarled inside, hackles rising before I even saw the bastards. When the shadows peeled back, they revealed what I already knew I’d find: wolves standing shoulder to shoulder in a jagged line, their fur matted, yellow eyes gleaming like carrion birds. Teeth bared and jaws dripping. They looked at me like I was already meat in their bellies. They were hungry and I wasn’t in the mood to play dinner. For a heartbeat, silence stretched taut as wire. Then I felt it, the air shift. Their gazes slid past me, locked instead on the man at my back.Hackles stayed raised, but their steps faltered, claws clicking hesitation across the stone. They weren’t sure whether to lunge or bow. Severin knew it too, though he hid it well. His hands hung loose at his sides, his postu

Aurelia's point of viewSilas wasted no time. The moment he had washed the blood from his hands and assured himself the children were safe, he called for an emergency meeting. The pack warriors, the lieutenants, and the elders were summoned to the conference hall.He wanted me there. "I want you to join the meetiing as well." At first, I hesitated. Me? The thought of stepping into that chamber where every eye would turn on me made my stomach twist. I wasn’t officially Luna. I hadn’t stood before the Moon Goddess in ceremony or worn the Luna’s crest. Some of the wolves still looked at me with wary eyes, as though I were an outsider who had slipped into their ranks when no one was watching.“Silas,” I whispered as we stood outside the double doors. “Some wolves won’t like it. They’ll think I’m pretending to wear a crown that isn’t mine. I don’t want to make this harder for you.”He turned on me so sharply I almost flinched, but his hand caught my chin and lifted it until I had no choic

Aurelia's point of viewI sat quietly inside the chamber as the omega she-wolves fluttered around me, their hands brushing against my skin as they carefully applied makeup. My reflection in the tall mirror felt like someone else’s, a woman draped in silks, her hair braided with tiny silver charms that caught the candlelight, her lips painted a shade bolder than I had ever dared to wear. My pulse throbbed beneath my skin, so loud it seemed to echo through the room. One of the omegas laid a regal red gown across my lap, the kind that only a Luna would wear, heavy with embroidery of golden threads that glimmered like flames. I touched the fabric with trembling fingers. My heart hammered in my chest as though trying to claw its way out. I was about to become Luna… officially.“Mommy!”The little voices came before the soft patter of footsteps. My two little ones tumbled into the room, eyes wide with excitement. My daughter, Sara, gasped so dramatically that the omegas laughed. She clutche

Alisha's point of viewThe iron stench of blood still clung to my fingers. I could feel it drying, sticky and tacky under my nails, even as the rush of adrenaline burned through me. Two wolves. That was all it had taken to break free. Those two sloppy, overconfident guards who had underestimated me. Such fools. But even I knew I hadn’t done it alone. The cell door had groaned open not long after moonrise, its rusted hinges whispering against the silence. I had thought it a trick, one of Silas’s games, perhaps sending someone in to toy with me. But then I saw him... hooded, faceless in the dim light, his scent muted by something unnatural. He had carried no torch, yet he moved as though the dark itself parted for him.“Get up,” he had murmured, his voice low and unhurried, as if he had all the time in the world.I had obeyed without question. The first guard barely had time to blink before my claws sank into his throat. The hot spray of his blood painted the walls, gurgling from his mo
