Aurelia's point of view

I sat quietly inside the chamber as the omega she-wolves fluttered around me, their hands brushing against my skin as they carefully applied makeup. My reflection in the tall mirror felt like someone else’s, a woman draped in silks, her hair braided with tiny silver charms that caught the candlelight, her lips painted a shade bolder than I had ever dared to wear. My pulse throbbed beneath my skin, so loud it seemed to echo through the room.

One of the omegas laid a regal red gown across my lap, the kind that only a Luna would wear, heavy with embroidery of golden threads that glimmered like flames. I touched the fabric with trembling fingers. My heart hammered in my chest as though trying to claw its way out. I was about to become Luna… officially.

“Mommy!”

The little voices came before the soft patter of footsteps. My two little ones tumbled into the room, eyes wide with excitement. My daughter, Sara, gasped so dramatically that the omegas laughed. She clutche

  • CHASING HIS LUNA BACK   TRUST IS CHEAP

Silas's point of viewI called Dalton immediately, my voice sharp, leaving no room for hesitation.“Keep your eyes on Xander,” I ordered, pacing my office like a caged beast. “I feel it in my gut that he’s the one aiding Alisha.”Dalton blinked at me, clearly stunned. “Xander? You can’t be serious. He’s been loyal for years. He has no connection with her. He’s never even spoken to her, let alone helped her escape. Why would he risk everything for her?”That was the very question gnawing at my mind like acid. Why? Why would Xander betray me? There had to be a reason, and if not reason, then manipulation. My instincts screamed witchcraft.I slammed my palm against the table, making Dalton flinch. “Someone is aiding her with magic, Dalton. Do not underestimate her. She never could’ve masked her scent alone.”Dalton’s jaw tightened. “Then who else even knows about magic in this pack, Silas? Besides the Luna… there’s no one.”My chest burned with the need to snarl. Aurelia’s name being dra

  • CHASING HIS LUNA BACK   THERE IS A TRAITOR

Silas's point of viewThe moment I heard Alisha’s name fall from the guard’s lips, a sharp growl tore out of my chest. The air itself seemed to shift, trembling with my rage. I didn’t even wait for the details to be dropped further, my wolf lunged forward inside me, demanding blood, demanding retribution. I shifted instantly, bones snapping, fur erupting, the raw fury of my wolf consuming me.The world sharpened. Every scent, every sound screamed at me. My paws hit the ground with such force the tiles cracked under me as I stormed down the corridor. Alisha! That traitorous snake. After everything I had done to contain her madness, she dared to escape tonight of all nights? On Aurelia’s Luna ceremony?Dalton’s heavy footsteps caught up beside me, his voice low but taut with urgency. “Alpha! Alpha... one of the omegas is dead. Kitchen staff. Her throat ripped out.”I halted mid-run, claws scraping across stone, a snarl reverberating through my chest. My fangs bared, dripping with fury.

  • CHASING HIS LUNA BACK   THE SNAKE SLITHERS AWAY

Alisha's point of viewThe iron stench of blood still clung to my fingers. I could feel it drying, sticky and tacky under my nails, even as the rush of adrenaline burned through me. Two wolves. That was all it had taken to break free. Those two sloppy, overconfident guards who had underestimated me. Such fools. But even I knew I hadn’t done it alone. The cell door had groaned open not long after moonrise, its rusted hinges whispering against the silence. I had thought it a trick, one of Silas’s games, perhaps sending someone in to toy with me. But then I saw him... hooded, faceless in the dim light, his scent muted by something unnatural. He had carried no torch, yet he moved as though the dark itself parted for him.“Get up,” he had murmured, his voice low and unhurried, as if he had all the time in the world.I had obeyed without question. The first guard barely had time to blink before my claws sank into his throat. The hot spray of his blood painted the walls, gurgling from his mo

  • CHASING HIS LUNA BACK   THE RUNAWAY ENEMY

Aurelia's point of viewThe warmth of the celebration still clung to the air when we returned to the pack house. Laughter rang in the hallways, warriors shared drinks, pups danced around their mothers, and for a fleeting moment, I almost believed everything was fine. Almost. But deep down, that hollow ache gnawed at me. A warning. There was a shiver in my bones that had been growing all day, refusing to quiet even as Silas’s hand was firmly laced with mine.“You’ve been awfully quiet, Luna,” Silas murmured, low enough so only I could hear. His teasing smile almost made me forget the pounding in my chest. Almost.I forced a smile, brushing a curl away from my face. “Maybe I’m just overwhelmed or exhausted. Maybe, both.”“Exhausted?” He arched an eyebrow, leaning closer, his breath brushing against my ear. “If I remember correctly, you weren’t exactly protesting last night.”Heat flushed my cheeks and I shoved his shoulder lightly, glaring at him while the others chuckled at something D

  • CHASING HIS LUNA BACK   RECLAIMING THE BOND

Aurelia's point of viewThe meeting hall still echoed in my ears long after I left it, their words slicing deeper than any blade could. A curse… the reason this pack suffers… I could hear them, the elders, the wolves, voices overlapping until I could barely tell where one ended and the other began.By the time I reached the chamber, my chest ached with the weight of it all. My steps faltered, and I pressed my hand against the wall just to stay upright. My father’s shadow was everywhere. It was stretching across the pack, infecting their thoughts, making me the enemy within. The chamber door clicked shut behind me. At last, silence. Or so I thought. My own heartbeat was so loud it drowned everything else out.I sank onto the edge of the bed and buried my face in my hands. How much more can I take? The door creaked again. “Aurelia.”Silas’s voice. Low, urgent.I flinched, unable to look at him. “Don’t.” My voice cracked, brittle as glass. “Don’t come closer. You should leave me.”He ign
