Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Husband, My Son, My Betrayal : Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

Eirik’s povMy knees suddenly felt weak. Strength drained out of me immediately like vapour escaping an open lid kettle. I sank into the chair."Thalia...she was..." the evidence was right in front of me yet I couldn't believe it. How was it possible? How was it possible that Thalia was pregnant? My cheeks were already wet with tears. My eyes refused to stop glazing with a new round of tears. It was just too hard to believe or maybe I didn't want to believe it."I had no idea both of you had a problem in your marriage. I thought everything was fine when she came to the hospital for a pregnancy test." Doctor Rachel started explaining. I listened attentively while my eyes remained on the picture. I looked at how round her stomach was – it must be about six or seven months at least."I told her she was pregnant. Truthfully, she looked lost that day. I felt it was personal so I didn't pry. Pregnancy was good news for married women. I advised her to inform you but I guessed she didn't whe

Thalia's povI blinked back to reality. "That doesn't change anything. I involved a lawyer. We are legally divorced." I said,"Right." He laughed in a low voice.I watched him stretch his legs as he exhaled slowly. The alcohol was definitely messing with his body system but he was trying to hold it in.People always said when someone drinks, he would be in a vulnerable state. One could ask the person questions and he would respond especially if he can't hold it in."Why did you do it?" I found my tongue.Maybe it was time I knew the truth. No, I already knew the truth. It was probably the time for me to hear it from him. I wanted to hear it from his mouth.Eirik turned to look at me. "What?""You betrayed me by sleeping with Mirelle but that isn't all. Why did you betray me again?" I asked.Eirik had a look of confusion. "What are you talking about?""Exactly. You can't remember or maybe you are just pretending not to understand me." I chuckled. "Thalia, don't speak in parables. I ne

Eirik’s povI barely got home in one piece by morning. My entire body drained of strength. My muscles felt weak like I lost my unknown superpowers all of a sudden.I parked my car in the compound and staggered out. My head was slamming hard like it was beaten against a brick wall. I would have stayed at the hotel much longer but I already used up enough time.My son's birthday was tomorrow and I needed to prepare some impromptu things. I didn't visit him at all yesterday because of the guilt that harbored in my heart and I felt bad about it, knowing he'd have expected me."Anna, make me some hangover soup quickly." I squinted my eyes, giving the maid an order. She nodded and disappeared into the kitchen immediately. "Goodness! You reek of alcohol." Mirelle exclaimed, taking me by the hand.I could smell myself and I remembered everything that happened. Doctor Rachel lying to me about where Thalia was all these years and discovering she was pregnant with another child....my child.I f

Thalia's pov"Sweetheart, can you go back to your ward for a minute?" I crouched a little lower to William. He stared at me without removing his hands from mine. "Why, mommy? Are we not seeing brothers anymore?" He questioned. "We will." I whispered, hoping Eirik hasn't heard us already. There was absolutely no way he would find out about William. Not at all. I wasn't ready for the revelation yet, maybe I will never be ready for it."Mommy." William whined slowly."Baby, you need to listen to mommy. It is important. I will pick you myself within a few minutes, trust me." I continued to convince him.He nodded sadly and left. I watched him leave the entrance totally. I knew he would listen to him, he wasn't a stubborn one but as little as he was, there was a height of what he could take as a toddler.I breathed in before opening the door to the ward. Eirik was already standing near the door. He must have heard voices and wanted to confirm who it was. "Thalia..." Eirik muttered, somet

Eirik’s pov I managed to get some things together within twenty hours. Some of my friends were willing to attend my son's birthday. There would be my mom and Mirelle. Other guests who are Ianth's friends and their parents too.I collated some other things that could be wrapped as gifts for the birthday too. Hired a chef for the occasion and decorated the house before the dawn of Ianth's birthday. Here we were. "He is now a big boy. How were you able to manage him being a male?" One of my friends asked, swirling his glass of wine.I chuckled, "Ianth isn't problematic. He has always been soft hearted and rarely causes trouble too. He hasn't bothered me at all."I was glad none of them asked about why he was sitting in a wheelchair and why they hadn't seen him in school. There was no way I'd explain that, especially when I wasn't comfortable letting out my personal problems to hand-distance friends."Is that not your ex wife?""I heard she is working at your company now."They asked si
