Mervon felt her blood turn to ice; every instinct in her body told her to run and get as far away from these people as she could. But before she moved, the woman gave a small sigh.‘Wrong choice.’She heard before her world went black. The room was dark when she woke up, and it felt unfamiliar, not like her room at all. She closed her eyes and breathed slowly, waiting for the nausea she suddenly felt to pass. She must have dozed off again because when she opened them again, the room was darker still, and she struggled to sit up, fighting the wave of nausea that almost swamped her.‘Had she caught a bug?’She thought, finally pulling herself into a sitting position and swinging her legs over the side, she attempted to stand, but her legs would not support her. Lying on her back, she panted, then gritted her teeth and tried again. This time, she had managed to lock her knees and stood swaying slightly, then forced them to move as she needed the bathroom. Looking into the mirror, she sp

His sycophantic cronies laughed at his cruelty but Maverick ignored them, shaking his head and heading to his room to pack for his journey, Willliam had warned him to be on twenty four hour standby. While he waited for the call he took courses in First Aid, understanding that even a basic knowledge of such things could be the difference of life or death for these people. When his teacher, a retired Nurse, discovered why he was attending her course and how hard he worked to pass it, soaking up the knowledge like a sponge and asking informed, intelligent questions she decided to help him. After finishing her course she arranged for him to attend courses run by Teams who regularly attended these disasters, he learned about CPR, how to use a difibulator, how to clear an airway, how to use everyday items to set broken bones, essential stuff that would save lives. William was very impressed by his diligence and hard work, and dismayed by his younger brothers deliberate bullying and efforts

The outcry was unbelievable, demands were made for the ‘Authorities’ to take action, and parents began to remove their daughters to avoid publicity. Two days after the post went viral, the police arrived with Children's Services and Court Officials, along with all the other parents, to the six girls' delight. The Principal and her henchmen were taken away in cuffs. That wasn’t the end of it; all the girls attending the school gave statements, none of them held back, and the press frenzy began. The school was shut down, and the Principal was put on trial for abusing the girls in her care. She tried to use the defence that the parents gave their full permission. Computers and laptops, along with filing cabinets, were taken from the vaults of the school, containing so much evidence of their years of abusing the girls, the school was closed down forever. The girls sat together in the reception area, waiting for their parents. The six of them were stunned that their plan had worked so well

He made it clear they were one-night stands; he never went back for seconds and got angry if any of them tried to come back for more, and if they persisted, they would find themselves working in one of the brothels he ran over the border in Mexico.Xavier was ruthless; he had to be, you do not become King of the Black Knight Bikers without stepping on any challengers and that always ended in death. If you were stupid enough to issue such a challenge, it was very wise to make sure you know what you are doing, because Xavier never gave anyone mercy, and he had lost count of the men he had killed.Mervon knew all this; Loretta had told her everything about her father's background and his love for her mother, Alanna, the only woman who had ever captured his heart. She also knew that Loretta loved her father unconditionally, and she had done so ever since Mervon had known her. It must have been so hard for the poor woman. This kind of unrequited love was special, but Mervon did not pretend

Hearing the profanity fall from such beautiful lips was a shock, but it was Annabelle who tutted in disgust‘Mervon, there is no need for you to curse.’William could see she was ready to bolt, but he had lost none of his authority. When she pushed her chair back and jumped to her feet, he was quicker.‘Oh no, you don’t.’He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to a stop.‘I think it is for the best if you come with me.’He swung the struggling young woman onto his shoulder and strode back up the stairs to the spare room she was occupying.‘Pack your things.’He commanded and locked the door behind him, then went to explain to his Aunt.‘William, please, she’s a young woman, not one of your soldiers, and from what I have learned, she has been treated very badly by that father of hers from day one.’‘That may be so, Aunt Annabelle, but it is far too dangerous to leave her here with you. If Xavier found out she is staying here with you, it would start a war, and I will not put you at that k
