Leonardo's POV I sat in my room that evening with a glass of whiskey in my hand while I stared at the wall because the house felt too quiet and the day dragged along with no news from Bruno about Genna. I tried to work on papers but my mind stayed on her walking out the gate in the rain and the way she looked back once with eyes full of hurt. I took another sip, felt the burn in my throat, set the glass down because drinking more would not help.Commotion started suddenly outside with shouts and running feet loud enough to pull me out of my chair.
