“What if I don't want to change?” I asked seriously. “What if I want you to do it now?” I wanted to know. I wanted to feel pain. In fact, I had wanted to reach that moment, or that stage, for a while. I had had the opportunity to do so with Lancelot, mainly because he was a medium-sized wolf. Still, because of that, I had to be more careful. Casper was an alpha, so I knew he had everything I needed, besides being Casper, my great love —the person and the wolf I was perfectly in love with. That moment with him after dinner only emphasized how much I should seize that opportunity and not let it pass me by.“Then I'll have to say no, Naomi. I don't want to hurt you, and I won't do that,” he said, visibly uncomfortable with the idea. I must admit that I didn't expect such a reaction. Casper always seemed interested in that kind of thing, which made me question some things I thought I knew about him. Maybe he had changed a lot, too. It would be very selfish to think that only I had changed

“I blame myself, Casper,” I said. “I shouldn't have hidden their existence from you. I shouldn't have distanced myself. They should have grown up with a father; life would be totally different. I can't even say how we would be today if I had done the right thing. The truth is, I put myself before them,“ I said, almost crying. ”I put myself first; I put my suffering ahead of their needs. I condemned them, Casper. If I had done the right thing, maybe they would be with us now,” I said, venting. He came up to me and hugged me.“Leave the past in the past, Naomi. I made a lot of mistakes back then, too. Some are only being reflected now. I'm paying for my bad decisions now,” he said. “The first step to moving forward is to admit what happened, and the second is to do everything you can to improve. I think we're both doing that,“ he said, comforting me. ”It's been a very stressful day,“ he said. ”Let's go

“We spotted some medium-sized wolves running in one of the forests,” the man said. “The common wolves that were in the area said they were masking their scent, and they found it all very suspicious,” he said, looking at Lancelot. Casper did the same, which forced me to look at him too.“It's not unusual for us to mask our scent. We don't want them to find out about us, since we're being hunted by people and wolves all the time. It may not mean anything,” he said.“We have recorded images of the three medium-sized wolves. We want you to tell us who they are,” said the man, pressing the button and showing their image.“You know I'm not going to do that, don't you? I can't just tell you who they are. You don't do that, so why should I?” he said, refusing. I wanted to agree with him, and I did agree, but at that moment, I could only think about the children.“Please, Lancelot, it may be our only clue,” I said, begging him. “It could help us,” I said.He sighed deeply. “They're from my nei

“We arrived,” Lancelot said, parking the car. So we looked around and saw a huge school. It wasn’t a college; it was a school. “They’re here,” he said.“A school? Are they teachers?” Casper asked, trying to understand what we were doing there. “This is new. Are the medium wolves already in positions like this?” he said. Casper was being inconvenient again.“No, they’re not teachers,” Lancelot said, getting out of the car and closing the door. “They’re students. They’re just kids. Just boys trying to have a life. That’s why I didn’t want to say anything,” he said.“Where are they? There are a lot of students here,” I said, looking at the number on the lawn while walking. I remembered the time in school, which was complicated. I felt the smells and the number of wolves were curious, but I did not feel any of them.“Don’t even try, Naomi. Almost all of us mask our smell. They’re doing it now,” he said. “Come on, come with me,” he said, walking towards the lawn. Casper and I followed him,

“Well, average wolves don’t stay that long without running, so given the time the kidnapping happened, they’re definitely running like wolves when they can. If the children do not change, they must be taking turns, but the city is very large, and so are the forests. Although it seems that many medium-sized wolves are running around, some live as wolves all the time. It’s really very hard to know if any of them are involved in this,” Heiss said, already comfortable talking to us. After hearing what it was about, he seemed interested in helping. We talked a little more with the boy, and Casper convinced him that he would not do him any harm. Heiss said he would go after his friends and tell them everything that happened, and that they should not worry. He also said that he would keep an eye out to see if something happened or if he saw anything. We gave our contacts and released him. However, I could not help noticing the looks he gave to Lancelot, as if they were talking in code. A cod
