Lahat ng Kabanata ng Goodbye, Saintess.: Kabanata 361 - Kabanata 370

I had made a promise to Rhea, after all. And I hadn't managed to fulfill a single part of it."Don't even ask about her, you lil' shit. You don't deserve her!" James growled. "She's living her best life abroad without you. She even has a new boyfriend! They're getting married overseas, too. That's how completely she's forgotten you."With that, he stormed off.I stood there, stunned. Rhea's mischievous smile flashed through my mind—the one she always wore when she was with me.I smirked faintly. If she really had moved on, then I would accept it too.Soon after, the results of my loan application arrived: denied. There was no surprise there. I had expected as much once the Amos family—the most powerful in Astergrad—decided to go all out against me. Still, I tried my luck with another local bank. Surely, the Amos family couldn't control every single one.Well, I was wrong. I went through seven, maybe eight local banks, and every single one turned me down. When I stepped out of t

"Really?!" Elliot asked, eyes wide.He was suffering from a condition most men would find too humiliating to admit. He had no idea how Terry knew, but if this doctor could actually help him..."Of course! My grandfather and my dad both had the same problem. But thanks to Dr. Strolmann, my grandfather hasn't lost his ability to make my grandmother feel young and heavenly!" Terry said with a grin.Who cared about his grandfather's or father's reputation if it meant he could destroy Sleeping Giant? Reputations meant nothing."So, Dr. Strolmann, were you the one who cured Mr. Amos' condition?" Elliot asked eagerly.Every Astergrad elite knew about Harvey's health issues. He had been said to be near death, yet not long ago, he'd been fully cured and revitalized. The identity of the doctor behind that miracle had become a mystery everyone wanted to solve.Terry's gaze shifted briefly, but he answered confidently, "Yeap! That was Dr. Strolmann!"It wasn't. That had been Metis' work. Bu

It was easy for Elliot to decide. He might still need Randall's services."I'm really sorry, young man. But I don't think you should be here. Please tell Mr. Goldman that I am unable to help." There was no apology in his tone. He sounded neutral. He treated Baron as nothing more than an acquaintance, and Sebastian was simply a stranger that acquaintance knew.Sebastian had no choice but to leave."Understood," he said, nodding."Can you not act high and mighty? He told you to leave, bozo!" Terry sneered. "This is what happens when you make me your enemy, get it? Fucking eyesore. Sleeping Giant? I think the giant's dead!"Elliot frowned but said little. He could see that these two young men were very different and that only one would have any chance of becoming a true, accomplished household name if society gave him the chance. Many a genius had sunk into mediocrity because no one offered resources or opportunity.Elliot sighed. He disliked show-offs like Terry. Still, it was tha

Terry nearly wet himself. "You fucking bastard! That was all bullshit! How dare you slander me? If he blames this on my family, you are a dead man!""You're the one who abandoned me first!" Randall shot back. "Either way, I'm screwed. But I won't go down alone, you asshole!"Elliot could not believe they were fighting now. "Shut up, you—""My apologies, Elliot. I'll call my grandfather and get a better doctor right away. I promise it will cure—"Elliot slapped Terry hard. "Who the fuck do you think you are, calling me by my first name? What you did is insult on top of insult. I will kill you and your family for it!"Blood ran from Terry's lips. He shivered.I walked up to Elliot and kept my voice calm. "I have a formula that might help. It treats erectile dysfunction. It is a Revarian medicinal formula."Elliot studied me with bloodshot eyes. "Are you a doctor?"I shook my head and smiled. "No, but a doctor used it to save Terry's grandfather from a critical illness. The same d

"How dare you raise your hand against me! I will not wait for Mr. Regan to move his finger! I will kill you for hitting me!" Terry roared. He shoved the middle-aged man with nothing but youthful force and began to rain his fists down.Soon, the two of them were locked in an ugly, embarrassing brawl. Blood flew.Elliot's patience had run out. He raised his hand and ordered his secretary, "Go. Drag them out of here. Break their limbs and send them back to the Amos residence. Let Harvey know what a grave mistake his useless grandson made!"The woman called in a few hulking bodyguards. When they seized Terry and Randall by the arms, Terry shrieked, "No! Don't! Don't break my limbs! I'm rich! Very rich! Name the price! I can give it to you!"Elliot snorted. "I'm the president of an international bank. And you talk about money in front of my face?""W-Well, Sebastian isn't better! He's with us! That formula is bunk, too!" Terry shouted. "You shouldn't drink it. It will ruin your body!
