“What are you doing, Marcus?” Samuel instantly became anxious after seeing Marcus force a kiss on Amanita. He rushed up to attack Marcus, but Dennis stopped him.Others may not understand, but Dennis was an orphan as well. He knew what Marcus would do next. This was Marcus’s only chance in his life to kiss the person he loved. When he was nearly out of breath, Marcus finally let go of Amanita. He pushed her away and said, “Nita, don’t be sad for me. Don’t cry for me either. I’m not worth it.”After saying this, he turned and jumped off the roof without hesitation. This flight needed no wings. “Marcus!” Amanita lunged forward, wanting to pull Marcus back, but she missed. She watched as Marcus plummeted with a smile on his face. Then, he hit the ground, looking completely broken.Risa used to be his whole world, but Risa had betrayed him. Amanita could have been his salvation, but he had betrayed her. These two betrayals had cut off all the tethers he had to the world.
