I slam my report down in front of him, breathing, "I handed this to you in one piece. If she tries to destroy it, that's on you."Lydia is already behind me, "Professor, that's - She didn't give me her report."I expect Morris to tell me off or get angry with me, but he just raises a brow, sliding my report into his bag, "I have it. Give me the rest.""You can give me that," Lydia says sweetly, but not before shooting me a nasty look. "I can deliver all of these to your office."She's holding out her hand for my report, and my eyes narrow. She couldn't be that brazen. However, Morris just taps on his desk, "You may leave these and go, and I don't appreciate you raising your voice at other students, Lydia. If you cannot carry yourself with dignity, I can give these odd jobs to somebody else."Seeing the look of humiliation on Lydia's face is oddly satisfying. At least, if he's a jerk, he's a jerk to everybody."Why're you smiling, Miss Hart?" Morris demands, suddenly looking at me.I o

Silence on the other end and then furniture slamming. My eyes widen at the plethora of sounds before the door is yanked open. He doesn't hesitate, just grabbing me by the front of my blouse and yanking me in roughly."W-What're you-"I don't get a chance to finish my question when his mouth descends upon mine.Again, with the surprise kisses! However, I have no willpower to resist this one than I had the one on Friday. It's like my body refuses to reject his touch, melting in his arms. I feel ashamed of myself as I lean into the way his hands cup my chest over my shirt. My lower body is twisting in need.A small voice in me points out in growing alarm that he is my professor. But underneath the veneer of human civilization that we have donned, he is the man my wolf craves. We are wolf shifters under it all, and in our world, this is normal; this is accepted. And yet, it feels so wrong. My eyes close, head falling back against the door as Morris's hot mouth trails wet, open-mouthed kis

"I'm already here," he argues. "Just get in.""I said no!" I scowl. "I'm not going to give people a reason to talk."I take a step back, jerking my head to the end of the street. I see the dark expression on his face, but he just rolls up the window and puts the car in gear before zooming away."What was that?!" Anthony, the guard at the door, approaches me, looking confused. "Sorry, it was my break.""It's okay," I shrug. "Just a customer who thought rules didn't apply to him. I mean, who tries to park in the no-parking zone, right?""Rich people," Anthony rolls his eyes."I hear that," I agree before strolling down the road. As soon as I turn the corner, the car is waiting there.Morris throws open the door before I can even reach the car, and from his expression, he's not altogether pleased. His voice is a timbre growl, "Get in before I drag you in."I eye him warily, "Not with that attitude.""Aisha."The warning edge to his voice makes me comply, "Fine. But don't yell at me."I s

As soon as I exit the bathroom, however, I see Morris standing by the window, a glass of what looks like whiskey in his hands, as he stares out the window. He doesn't seem to have noticed me, clearly lost in his thoughts. I take the few precious minutes I get to study him.His white suit shirt is unbuttoned, revealing a smooth, muscled chest. I've never seen him so undressed, and if he was handsome before, now he's got this rakish look about him that makes my abdomen tighten in need. His hands, holding the glass of whiskey, look so large and firm, and I remember how they felt against my skin when he had caressed it, how firm his grip had been.I can feel the dampness below, and my heart is now beating way too fast. That's when Morris chooses to turn his head in my direction. The heat in his eyes is scalding, and my hand, which had still been combing my hair, stills. I watch him drain his glass before setting it on the table and approaching me.I find myself taking a step back, the pre

I watch her walk away and slam the door behind her. My rage is building by the second. I still can't believe he just treated this like some sort of a booty call. Even booty calls get more respect!Fuming, I head to the shower, ignoring the boxes on the table. He just got what he wanted and left, sending me clothes because mine weren't good enough?! His level of assholeness keeps climbing with each meeting. I feel cheap and used, and as I scrub my body in the hot shower, I feel dirty and miserable. Finally, I sink to the ground, a tear slipping down my cheek. It's not like I wanted this to begin with. I'm doing this to survive. He didn't have to go the extra mile to make me feel like some sort of whore.I let the hot water pour over me, but my insides are cold as ice. I didn't want to be held or comforted or given some sort of special treatment. I just wanted him to be here when I woke up.The knock on the door has me turning off the water and grabbing the bathrobe. Putting it on, I he
