Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Mafia's Slave: Claimed By My Stepbrother: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

JACKIEI thought my ears were playing tricks on me, but then again, Keith wasn’t one to play around with words.“What?” The question came out of my mouth in a shocked whisper.First of all, I had thought that he was going to apologize for ending what could have been a great sex, and then go ahead to profess his feelings for me, and to tell me that for the longest time, he had loved me deeply but hadn’t known how to tell me, and that he would want us to get into a relationship. That was what I freaking expected, not the blow he just gave me!It was bad enough that he had to force me into accepting to stay friends even though my heart was bleeding painfully, and now, he wanted me to leave? If Mia wasn’t in this house, would this have happened?Fuck!I knew I should have killed that little sneaky bitch when I had the chance to, but I didn’t know what relationship she had with Keith exactly, and I didn’t want to waste a life that might be neutrally precious to him. I mean, he was adopted

JACKIEMia needed to be searched; the sneaky, slimy, little bitch!I definitely underestimated her. “Where could she have gone?” I asked as we made our way to our room.“Was that loophole blocked?” Keith asked Cain fiercely.I could see Keith’s veins popping in anger. It was as though he would explode with anger, and it crushed my heart to see Keith this troubled over another woman, even if she was a nineteen years old woman. I had never seen him like this. Keith was trying to act strong, but I could see right through him; he was worried to stop us. It made me wonder if he would be half as worried as he was now if I was the one who had gone missing.“Yes, and the guards at the front door haven’t moved a step away from there all day,” Cain answered.Keith wanted to kill Cain, I could tell. I had known Cain to be Keith’s trusted and loyal employee. His topmost employee for that matter, and for years, Keith had never had any reason whatsoever to be upset with Cain because the man was di

KEITHI blinked, almost in confusion, as though I didn’t hear what she just said.“I want to leave.”It wasn’t just the words that got to me. It was the depth and deep desire in her voice and her eyes.“Please, let me go,” she begged deeply. The words tore at my heart, which was something that rarely ever happened.“Leave my room?” I asked her, hoping that that was what she was talking about.“No, leave this godforsaken house and return to my life,” she answered, her words piercing deep into me.I pulled back and stepped away from her. She really had no idea what I was saving her from, and every desire I had when I brought her into my room died. Not because she stopped being attractive to me, but because for the first time, someone didn’t feel safe around me, especially someone whose safety was what I would give up anything and everything for. Declaring that she would be spending the night in my bedroom wasn’t because I desired her. It was solely because I wanted to keep my eyes on he

MIAI woke up in the early hours of the morning and cleaned my eyes. It was still dark outside, which meant that it wasn’t particularly dawn yet.I yawned and went to use the restroom, and by the time I got back, I didn’t feel like sleeping again. My eyes were clear now. After Keith left me in the room, I had thought that I wouldn’t be able to get any sleep, but barely ten minutes after I climbed into Keith’s bed, I slept off, and I had one of the best sleeps I have had in a really long time. His bed was soft, cozy, welcoming, warm, and one thing I remembered vividly was the fact that his smell from the sheets had clouded my nostrils before I slept off.I didn’t even want to lay back on his bed because I didn’t want his smell in my nose anymore, and worse, caressing me back to sleep.Lazily, and without thinking, I walked to the door and just played with it. To my utmost surprise, it opened. I looked at it in shock.“Didn’t Keith lock this door when he went out last night?” I asked my

MIAI looked at Jackie, at first wondering why I wasn’t trembling in her presence. Maybe it was because I had survived the night without being murdered by her, or that I was too enraged by what I saw in Keith’s drawer and what I was holding in my hand. And then her offer.“Do you mean all of what you just said?” I asked her.Jackie had a smirk on her face. She might have thought that she was pulling off a smile, but I could tell the difference between a smirk and a smile.“You can bet on it, Mia,” Jackie answered. “You won’t be able to leave this mansion on your own, but with my help, you can. Not only will you be able to leave, I will get you out of this country, and you will be one of the youngest rich girls when you get there,” Jackie continued. “That’s a fair deal to me, if you ask me, and it’s one you will never get anywhere,” she finished.“Why would you want to do this?” I asked her.I might be nineteen and inexperienced, but I wasn’t stupid. This was the same woman who tried t
