ELARA POVOh Moon Goddess… What does she have planned now?Seraphine’s eyes scanned the silent room as she strutted around the room with her chin in the air. Then she smiled at me, dazzling and warm and disarmingly beautiful, but not quite reaching her eyes.“Well,” she purred, voice like honey on a knife, “I don’t want to be the bringer of another rumor today. I actually came with something… a little lighter.”She clapped her hands together dramatically. “I want to invite all of you to my birthday party tonight at the Moon Hall. It will be a full moon celebration with food, music… and of course, plenty of dancing.”Some students exchanged raised eyebrow glances as others began whispering among themselves excitedly.I watched in dismay as Seraphine’s gaze returned to me and she started walking toward me. Her heels clicked loudly with each step. She halted her steps directly before my desk and bent forward just a bit as her crimson dress swayed with every breath.“And you,” she continu

Seraphine’s POVIt was finally night. From the Moon Hall balcony I watched the final decorations complete their setup. The hall shimmered with dark luxury, a stark beauty no one should ever have seen — dark, elegant, powerful. From the towering ceilings cascading curtains of crimson and black velvet framed everything in opulent royal grandeur. Above me the fairy lights twisted as they sparkled like a captured galaxy that belonged to me.Endless crystal vases held overflowing collections of black roses mixed with glistening silver lilies. The smell filled the air with its sweet intensity which matched my preferences precisely.By the stage floating candles moved, their yellow illumination spread across the floor. Above the main entrance hung a silver crescent moon arch that featured beaded pearls and thin velvet ribbons which moved softly whenever someone walked by.“Careful with that!” I snarled from the top, glaring down at the student who almost dropped a silver tray of gleaming gla

Veronica’s POVI hunkered down below the small table. The package was pressed to my chest. My heart beat so hard that I believed it caused the walls to reverberate.I sighed when Seraphine called Elara’s name. A low swell of relief rushed through me.The timing was perfect I thought as a smile spread across my face above the small table. She’s such a smart queen… she had it down pat.I moved my weight slowly to avoid any noise. My legs were going numb but I couldn’t move just yet.“She is such a smart girl,” I murmured to myself. Then I stopped. Grimacing. No… I have to wait and make sure she leaves first. Can’t risk her returning and finding me like this.I drew a shaky breath, listening. Then just as I was about to stand up and wriggle out from under the table, a voice.A deep voice — strong but still calm — unmistakably Elara’s.“Excuse me… what are you doing here?” she demanded, her voice loud and more biting than I would have expected.I went still, my whole body rigid below th

KAEL POV My claws closed tighter as my pulse pounded against my ears."Unwise," I growled with a subdued tone while shifting my gaze toward Veronica. Loud accusations against pack members should be avoided. It’ll only breed paranoia. We don’t need that tonight.” Veronica shifted her head to one side while her eyes shone brightly like a spider's gaze under moonlight."My Alpha," she whispered smoothly while her tone was like honey hiding danger, "your Luna’s status depends on how you handle this.". We can’t just allow an omega level transgression to go without being addressed. The pack needs to know that you’re not afraid to do your job.”I grit my teeth, pressing my fangs into my tongue to stop myself from growling at her.Seraphine stepped between us then, coming to my side. She appeared celestial as her silver dress adhered to her curves while lights sparkled across it like stars reflected on a midnight lake. Her eyes were bright and full of Luna's authority, the power rolling off

KAEL POV Or so I thought, until Seraphine marched up to Elara. She was sitting in her chair, head bowed, and didn’t even try to get up.Seraphine grabbed her by the collar and yanked her to her feet.“You thief!” she yelled, full of venom. “To think you’d just TOUCH my things!” I heard another slap against Elara’s face — Barrrrr! — and all sound stopped. Even the quiet conversations and low table chatter stopped. My heart constricted in pain. Elara hadn’t fought back. I couldn’t see anything in her eyes but utter bewilderment. Innocence. My instincts began to itch. My wolf growled in my chest, restlessly, with a sour tone.I barged towards them, “Seraphine, what the hell are you doing?” I snapped, grabbing her arm before she shoved Elara yet again.Elara stumbled. Elara fell backward and crashed into the VIP table behind her which caused plates and drinks to scatter everywhere. Crystal glasses shattered. People gasped but did not move. “This isn’t okay,” I muttered, snagging Seraph
