AndyHow had it only been 3 hours since she left? It felt like I'd been lying in my bed for days, waiting for her return. I don't know how I'm going to make it through an entire week without her, which is crazy because before her, I used to be quite good at being alone, in fact, I actually preferred it, but now all I want is to be with Claire. The numbers on my alarm clock were dragging forward at a snail's pace, and I couldn't help but picture her being taken further from my reach with each passing second. Was she thinking about me, too? Missing me as much as I was her? I didn't want to ask her because that would seem like I'm being needy and pathetic, as if I can't function without her, which I can't, but she doesn't need to know that. What I needed was a reason for contacting her, some way of telling her that I'm thinking about her, but keeping my cool at the same time. I pick up my phone from my nightstand, remembering the picture I asked Samantha to take of us. I promised Claire

ClaireI walked home in the crisp, autumn air, noticing how the trees that lined the street were beginning to lose their leaves. I hate this time of year because of the unpredictable weather; one day it's hot, the next it's freezing, so I either get stuck wearing too much or too little. Autumn is just the prelude to Winter, the season I despise the most because I can never get warm. When I got home, I stuffed some clean clothes into my overnight bag and raided the fridge for any alcohol that had been left over from my party, deciding to take the vodka and passionfruit pre-mixers and the bottle of wine that Jupiter had been drinking; it's not like she was coming back to claim it.I had a shower and washed my hair, just to be certain I wasn't carrying any stench of the woods with me when I saw Andy. I was beyond excited to see him; our time apart had made me crave him, and my mind was filled with lustful thoughts of him.Andy answered the door before I even got a chance to knock, pullin

AndyThe temperature had dropped significantly overnight, and I woke to Claire, naked, draped across the length of my body, clinging to me for heat as she shivered. It took me a second to realise that the blankets had fallen off us during the night. I knew I had to pick the quilt up from the floor, but I didn't want to shift Claire off of me, so I wrapped an arm around her waist and carefully rolled us both so that I could reach the quilt.Using one hand, I grabbed the heavy quilt and swung it up and over the bed, covering us both, but the fabric was cold from lying on the wooden floor half the night, so I cocooned myself around Claire, hoping my own body heat would be enough to raise her own."How are you so warm? It's like an ice box in here?" She questions me, her teeth chattering as she talks."I'm hot." I joke with her, wriggling my eyebrows and making my beautiful girl giggle. "Seriously, though, I don't feel the cold like most people do, which is why I love winter.""Are you ki

AndyKeys, shoes, wallet, phone, I ran through the essential checklist one last time, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything before I left for Claire's house. Why we were even having this meeting with Nate was beyond me; he's the enemy, and we're just inviting him into our circle and sharing information? That would be the best way for those boys to be able to cover their tracks.Claire didn't give me much to go on, as to why she's now convinced Nate is on our side, she just told me I had to hear him out for myself. Well, I'll listen to what he has to say. I can read through bullshit pretty easily, but I won't be giving him anything back. Nate will come to learn that, unlike the others, I am a rock; he can put the squeeze on me all he wants, but he won't get anything out of me.I send out a quick text to my dad, explaining where I am because he and Mum will be home in a few hours, and I know how they worry when they can't locate me. Mum, especially, her mind goes straight to thinking

SamI wish I could say that I was looking forward to starting my new job, but the truth was, I was nervous; I had no idea what I'd be walking into today. Coaching at Claremont High, I quickly discovered that the kids were grateful to be allowed to play the sport they loved. Some came from poorer backgrounds, where their family struggled to make ends meet; they didn't ask for much and rarely complained.Brixton students were notorious for being self-entitled. Most came from money, not their own, though, yet it didn't stop them from thinking they were better than everyone else. Everything was handed to them on a silver platter, including this team so I knew I'd have my work cut out for me, trying to pull them into line.Nate had shown me what he was capable of I would just have to push him so he doesn't hold back, and I already knew Andy was phenomenal, but as for the rest of the team, I had no idea what they would bring to the field. Then there were their antics off the field that I ha
